Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Analyst must be aware of the Bank’s regulatory obligations and ensure that all work performed aligns with the Bank’s corporate goals.

Location:

This position is based at our head office in Saskatoon for a Monday through Friday work week. However, this position may be required to work from home remotely on a temporary basis until the Bank begins operating in a manner similar to pre-COVID operations.

The Role:   

  • Provide support in the implementation of the Bank’s Regulatory Compliance Management (‘RCM’) and Anti-Money Laundering Anti-Terrorist Financing (‘AML/ATF’) programs and Risk Enterprise.

  • Primary internal point of contact for all KYC/KYB matters and responsible for the development of KYC/KYB policies, procedures, checklists and reports.

  • Conduct secondary reviews and approvals of commercial account files ensuring all documents are valid and all requirements are adhered to.

  • Play a key role in staff communications along with hosting general regulatory compliance awareness and educational sessions for employees and contractors, based the various position levels.

  • Support business units in critical regulatory compliance areas including AML and Counter Terrorist Financing, Privacy, CASL, and outsourcing of business activities including the reviewing of reports to regulators.

    Qualifications:

  • Business degree and/or 1-3 yrs experience working in a compliance related field. Preference will be given to experience in compliance roles within the financial industry

  • Working experience and strong understanding of regulatory risk and compliance exposures in the financial services industry environments

  • Knowledge of current RCM, AML/KYB requirements

  • Experience with Enhanced Due Diligence, Client Onboarding and KYC/KYB requirements

  • Detail oriented with strong administrative and proofreading skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Friendly enthusiastic self-starter with ability to work independently under minimal supervision

  • Strong team player with proven ability to maintain relationships across all levels of the organization
