Estate & Trust Specialist (Term)

Are you an individual who can comfortably and professionally interact with grieving families? Cornerstone Credit Union is looking for an Estate and Trust Specialist who esteems in helping others and with having valuable and caring conversations.

Acting as a liaison between Cornerstone Credit Union and member estate trustees, you’ll be an important part of a team of knowledgeable and empathetic people who deliver estate payout professional services. As an Estate and Trust Specialist you will create exceptional experiences for both new and existing members by professionally and compassionately handling the estate process and fulfilling the wishes of the estate.

Typical background includes post-secondary education in business with 2 to 4 years job-related experience or an equivalent combination of both. You’ll have a leg up if you have estate account pay-out experience or working knowledge of estate legislation. *This position is considered full time (37.50 hours/week) for an anticipated term of 17 months (currently deemed to expire in December 2025), however the actual length could be shortened or lengthened depending upon organizational requirements.

Business Intelligence Analyst

Business Intelligence Analyst – Cornerstone Credit Union – 2 Year Term

Are you a data guru? Do you thrive on analyzing and interpreting the facts? If so, we may have the position for you! We are seeking a highly motivated, independent self-starter to join our Technology and Security team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be part of a team that analyzes corporate data to identify trends and insights so that we can grow our business and better serve our members/customers!

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for research, analysis, design and development of advanced business intelligence and data analytics for Cornerstone Credit Union. You will contribute to the financial success of the Cornerstone Credit Union by identifying and recommending strategic and tactical insights gathered as result of the analysis.

You should possess a solid expertise in data analysis and the development of business intelligence, coupled with a keen comprehension of how business needs align with technical and data prerequisites. Proficiency in utilizing platforms and technologies like Domo, Azure Synapse Analytics, MS Power BI, and Transact SQL is essential. Practical application of these tools in the realms of Marketing and/or Finance is expected. Familiarity with handling data from credit unions or similiar financial institutions would be advantageous.

Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business, Information Systems, Mathematics or Statistics with 4 to 6 years job-related experience or an equivalent combination is the minimum requirement for this position. Related certifications in these areas would be an asset. Additionally, we are looking for a team member who has exceptional stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills, advanced research skills, with a highly analytical mindset and who excels in critical thinking. A subject matter expert in the area of farm and business; providing innovative and creative solutions to ensure our members reach their business and personal dreams.
In-depth knowledge with lending and progressive experience in a sales and service industry, 8 to 10 years would be an asset.
Experience in coaching, mentoring, developing and motivating a team of professionals.
The ability and confidence to anticipate opportunities, turn them into an action plan and then into reality.
A self-motivated and driven individual able to take on challenges that are a stretch but not unrealistic.
Have a track record of dealing with high complex situations, make functional and operational decisions with a broad impact on the continued operation and future development of Cornerstone Credit Union.
