Reporting to the Senior Manager Retail Advisory, the Manager, Retail Advisory leads and manages Financial Advisors and Member Advisors located across all branches, who are responsible for relationship building and sales of a full range of personal deposit and lending products and services, quickly and efficiently probing to uncover and assess overall needs of all members  and identify opportunities to deepen the engagement with the member.  Through managing, coaching and inspiring employees, the Manager, Retail Advisory meets team objectives by engaging in activities to achieve superior member experiences, optimal business retention, growth and productivity.

The Manager Retail Advisory will work closely with the Senior Manager, Retail Advisory as a leader who is passionate about building lasting relationships. Manager Risk

North Peace Savings and Credit Union is now recruiting for the role of Manager, Risk. Managing risk and promoting compliance across all regions and lines of business in a financial institution is a significant undertaking. The framework, tools, processes and controls in place to monitor enterprise risk, oversee anti-money laundering & terrorist financing, privacy, fraud, security and insurance require on-going attention and adapt and change regularly with our changing risk environment.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Manager, Risk is responsible for managing and enhancing NPSCU’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and developing strategies and tactics to enhance that framework and culture. The Manager, Risk is directly responsible for overseeing the areas of Anti-Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing, Privacy, Fraud, Security and Insurance Management. The Manager plays a significant role in compliance and risk mitigation through design, implementation and monitoring of controls, facilitation of internal audit processes, following up on compliance deficiencies, ensuring practices align with policies and procedures and making recommendations for change to further improve efficiencies and manage risk. The position oversees and /or is directly responsible for organizational risk reporting and promotes compliance across all regions and lines of business. The Compliance Officer will report directly to the Manager, Risk.

Additionally the Manager, Risk is responsible for supporting the development of all risk related policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those related to disaster recovery, business continuity and pandemic planning to ensure the ongoing success of the organization. The Manager, Risk is also a key stakeholder, bringing best practices for risk design and mitigation practices to corporate projects and initiatives.

The successful candidate will have their CPA or degree in business, have a minimum 3 years experience in risk management including a minimum 1 year experience in a leadership or management capacity. Experience in Anti-money laundering, fraud, enterprise risk, security, business continuity planning along with advanced comprehension of risk methodologies, industry practices and risk reporting required.

The Mortgage Specialist is a residential lending expert with proven sales and service experience within the financial industry generating their own leads for the sale of mortgages and related mortgage life and disability insurance.  You will be responsible to build and maintain a solid referral network within the community, Realtors, Brokers, Builders, Lawyers and Financial Planners.  You will be a highly motivated, dynamic individual that is results orientated with expert follow up skills and the ability to work through various unique applications.

Senior Financial Advisor

Senior Financial Advisor

Location – Fort St John

North Peace Savings and Credit Union, serving Northern British Columbia, is recruiting for a permanent full time Senior Financial Advisor for our Fort St John Branch.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Retail Advisory, the Senior Financial Advisor must quickly and efficiently probe to uncover and assess overall needs of all members (at every contact) and identify opportunities to further deepen the engagement with the member.  The Senior Financial Advisor is able to provide appropriate education, advice, products and services to meet the varied need of Senior Financial Advisor will be responsible for maintaining up to date knowledge on all NPSCU deposit and lending products for appropriate referral opportunities.  In all activities, ensures prudent risk management is followed to protect the Credit Union.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, outgoing individual who works well on their own, takes initiative, is self-motivated, is effective at developing business through relationship building, and has strong communication skills to present ideas and information in a clear and easy to understand manner.
