Relationship Advisor II

Prosperity Credit Union is currently hiring for a permanent, full-time Relationship Advisor II to support our Outlook service location. The Relationship Advisor II is accountable for the growth, development, and oversight of the lending and financial needs of our consumer and business members. Reporting to the Regional Manager, Retail Banking Services, this role is ideal for someone passionate about relationship building, small business support, and member service. Please note that this position is regionally based and will require travel.

Ensure all credit and deposit activities align with sound risk management principles. Uphold compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain accurate documentation, and safeguard member information through a strong understanding of operational policies and ethical standards.

Support Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed of applicable legislation and compliance standards. Take action to ensure full adherence to policies including anti-money laundering regulations, privacy laws, and market code requirements.

Qualifications:

  • A post-secondary degree in Agriculture or Business will be a valuable asset;
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of job-related experience, preference given to candidates with previous lending experience and a demonstrated track record for success in the implementation and achievement of sales goals;
  • Passion for co-operative values and for involvement with the local community;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build strong and respectful relationships with all parties including staff, peers, community, as well as current and potential business partners;
  • Strong decision making and organizational leadership skills with the ability to plan and manage resources;

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to act as an effective spokesperson and ambassador for the Credit Union.

Reporting to the Vice President Retail Service & Support, the Manager Lending Support is responsible for promoting exceptional member relationships, products, services, and delivery of retail and syndicated lending through administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage lending products including loan creation, user acceptance testing, deployment, and issue resolution
  • Manage all loan administration processes
  • Provide banking system administration and support in relation to lending products
  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and report on PCCU, federal, and provincial lending programs and assist in the development and technical direction of lending administration programs
  • Oversee the administration of syndicated loan files
  • Coach, develop, mentor, and motivate direct reports
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures in the lending function and act as a corporate resource on interpretation, application, and implementation
  • Research and develop lending related pricing recommendations
  • Manage the second file check process and report findings
  • Comply with PCCU policies and procedures, and identify opportunities for department/organizational efficiencies

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree, or a combination of education and experience within the financial services industry
  • Consumer and basic agriculture lending experience preferred
  • Management level experience with an aptitude for team building and providing top-notch customer service
  • Demonstrated analytical and numeric reasonability, with exceptional attention to detail, time management, planning, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and initiative

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, dynamic individual and will play an integral leadership role within the Outlook, Elbow, and Loreburn branches. Reporting to the Vice President Retail Service & Support, this position will oversee branch operations, while also leading and developing key service and support positions. He or she will ensure that the appropriate support is delivered to the regional team, resulting in top performance and exceptional service to our members.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, develop, mentor, and motivate direct reports
  • Play a lead role in collaborating with the regional team to develop creative and innovative approaches to achieving results
  • Ensure efficient operation of branches by coordination of regional scheduling and the management of workload between branches
  • Promote and support a relationship-based service environment
  • Provide support and assistance to the branches in areas such as cash operations and the administration of estates
  • Build relationships internally with direct reports, management, and all staff

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership, management, and supervision at a senior level with proven results; emphasis on sales management, coaching, and performance management is an asset
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common goal
  • Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills, with a solution-focused team approach
  • Ability to prioritize work requirements to meet deadlines and work within time constraints
