Who are we?
Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (the Corporation) is the deposit guarantor for Saskatchewan credit unions and the primary regulator for Saskatchewan credit unions and SaskCentral, together, Provincially Regulated Financial Institutions (PRFIs). How you will spend your time:
As Manager, Regulatory Policy and Prevention, you will support the overall mandate of the Corporation through research, development, implementation, and communication of regulatory policy, crisis management, and prevention initiatives. This position is responsible to:
• Lead the development, maintenance, and execution of the Corporation’s PRFI crisis management framework
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve crisis management program activities, processes and documents
• Participate and lead ongoing monitoring, research and analysis of the financial services industry, credit union system and the regulatory and economic environment
• Manage relationships with peer regulators, credit union system partners, and the office of the Registrar of Credit Unions
• Lead and support initiatives that are aligned with the Corporation’s strategic plan including the development of regulatory policy to ensure an effective and responsible framework for the regulation of PRFIs.

What you’ll need:
• Undergraduate degree in commerce or business; ideally supplemented with a graduate degree or professional designation (e.g., CPA, FRM, CIA)
• Five years of experience in the financial services industry or a finance related field
• Relevant knowledge and expertise in financial institution crisis management frameworks and/or experience in a regulatory environment would be considered an asset
• Demonstrated success in presenting information and facilitating discussions with key stakeholders

We have an exciting opportunity for an efficient, organized, detail oriented administrative professional who will provide day-to-day administration and office support to our National Consulting Team.

The Job

Working to support a group of cross-functional teams you will perform advanced administrative functions to support the delivery of products, services and programs that contribute to the operational success of credit unions. In this position, you will oversee proposals and other materials that are distributed to clients. You will manage document control for forms and administer credit union facing content on multiple websites. You will lead the marketing and promotions of training workshops and courses to credit unions. You will arrange logistics and preparation for meetings, webinars, events and training, while managing client billing and invoice payments to ensure that monthly and annual billings are processed in an accurate and timely manner. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with team members, credit unions and other external stakeholders is critical for this position.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have post-secondary education in office administration and/or three years administrative experience. You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat DC. Familiarity with BaseCamp, Qualtrics and GoToTraining (Citrix) is an asset.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to take the initiative; working well both independently or collaboratively within a team. You will possess strong verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills. You will have a keen eye for detail and will effectively manage your time in order to meet tight deadlines. Knowledge or experience in the credit union system is an asset.

  • assist with daily administrative duties and tasks that include manage email, calendar, and travel,
  • develop, edit, proof, and distribute documents and materials,
    • plan and organize board meetings and board planning including logistics, recommend meeting dates and dissemination of meeting materials,
    • maintain board corporate records,
    • communicate with board and executive,

Manager, Accounting & Reporting – Term Position to March 31, 2023

SaskCentral is on a multi-year enterprise-wide transformational journey with continued focus on ensuring the success and financial viability of credit unions. The role of the Accounting and Reporting team in this journey is to provide accurate financial reporting for stakeholders and high-quality financial support for the organization. We are searching for an experienced individual to provide leadership and direction to a team of professionals delivering accounting and reporting services to SaskCentral.  This opportunity requires someone with an analytical nature with passion for delivering accurate and timely results, as well as someone with strong interpersonal communication skills who enjoys developing others as our transformational journey continues.

 

The Job

In this role, you are responsible to oversee the preparation and completion of SaskCentral’s monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting. This includes reporting for key stakeholders, managing the year-end reporting and annual audit process, and leading continuous business improvements. You will lead management reporting which includes development of the annual budget and quarterly projections while identifying and managing change initiatives to accommodate the evolving landscape of SaskCentral and credit unions.

You have a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, five years of progressive leadership experience, and advanced understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as tax and regulatory requirements.  You have strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills with an ability to scale/apply knowledge in a manner appropriate to SaskCentral’s size and complexity.  You have strong prioritization abilities and can be relied on to manage multiple deliverables within tight timelines with a high degree of accountability. You value building and maintaining positive relationships and will contribute to the strategic vision and business plan of the organization.
