The Position:  Reporting to the VP, Internal Audit the CUs inSync partners of Conexus, Innovation and Cornerstone Credit Unions are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The Team Leader, Internal Audit is responsible to implement and coordinate independent, objective assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations.   Key to this position is recruiting, developing, coaching, empowering, and leading a team of Audit Analysts to conduct internal audit processes, in accordance with the The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Mandatory Guidance, Core Principles, Code of Ethics and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards). These audit processes are designed to bring a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, governance processes.

Churchbridge Credit Union is currently seeking an experienced Wealth Advisor to join our team. This permanent full time position will be based out of both of our branch locations in Churchbridge and Langenburg.

The Churchbridge Credit Union is a full service, two branch institution that serves the communities of Churchbridge, Langenburg, MacNutt, Bredenbury and surrounding areas. We are based in an agriculture and potash mining area that is situated close to the Manitoba border in central Saskatchewan.

We pride ourselves on giving back to our members through our member profit sharing program and our communities through our volunteerism and our Community Investment Program. We have 3300 members and non-members with an asset base of $232.6 million, which includes a $34.4 million mutual fund portfolio as of February 28, 2021.

Reporting to the Deposit & Support Services Manager, the Wealth Advisor supports the credit union’s business strategy through the provision of a full range of deposit and investment services to a portfolio of higher net worth members ($100,000 plus) with comprehensive investment and financial planning needs. This position identifies member investments and financial planning needs and goals and works with members to develop wealth management plans and related strategies. They will manage an assigned portfolio of accounts in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

In addition to being an integral part of the wealth department, the Wealth Advisor will also support the wealth and deposit team by providing support, advice, and coaching on investment products and services. This role will proactively seek business development opportunities with current and potential members for wealth management and credit union subsidiary products and services.

Churchbridge Credit Union partners with AVISO Wealth, a national financial services firm providing MFDA and IIROC dealer services, online brokerage, and insurance solutions.

Qualifications
This position requires:
• College, Trade, or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related discipline;
• Active Mutual Funds license including labour sponsored funds, in good standing;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an investment/financial planning (including deposit products)
and advisory position managing a portfolio of higher net worth individuals on an MFDA or IIROC
environment, with demonstrated ability to gather assets;
• Solid administration, sales support, team support/coaching and organization skills;
• Thorough understanding of financial products and services;
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation, or willingness
to obtain within 2 years;
• Sales-orientated background with a strong understanding of the sales process and business
development;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people.
