The bigger picture

We’re looking for an analytical individual that can think conceptually and enjoys problem-solving to come on board as our Human Resources (HR) Specialist. As a member of the Employee Experience team, the HR Specialist actively supports the Total Rewards Program and the management of the Human Resources Management System (HRMS).

How you’ll be spending your time

  • On a monthly basis and within the required timeframes, complete the pay calculations and required documentation for the commission pay programs and respond to related inquiries.
  • Support the Manager, Compensation with the administration of the annual compensation cycle including but not limited to market pricing, compensation surveys, annual merit increases, compensation plan design and analysis, incentive payments, budget and industry research.
  • Working with the HRMS Specialist, ensure the value and utilization of the HRMS by supporting the development, testing and execution of infrastructure advancement including module expansion, HR program development and integration (e.g. succession, performance development, recruitment), data correlation, etc.; while ensuring system integrity.
  • Provide input into the processes and policies to ensure efficient and accurate use of the system.
  • Ensure employee data is available to enable operational and strategic decisions/goals by customizing, enhancing, maintaining and utilizing HRMS functionality (e.g. reporting).
  • Participate in strategic projects to support the organization’s strategies and vision (e.g. workforce planning, system integration, budget, business intelligence, data sourcing/sharing, etc.).
  • Ensure proper handling of all personal and confidential records related to employee records are administered and maintained in accordance with privacy legislation, etc.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of user documentation; including reporting capabilities for management.
  • Analyze formal test results to discover and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.
  • Process HRMS data transactions (employee changes, terminations, etc.).

The experience you bring

  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant or related industry such as human resources, accounting, or finance.
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant or related field such as business or finance.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively identify, break down and solve complex business problems with appropriate levels of collaboration and support.
  • Knowledge and sound understanding of applicable federal and provincial legislation and regulatory requirements related to the areas of accountability such as the Saskatchewan Employment Standards Act and Saskatchewan Human Rights Code.
  • Experience with commission-based sales programs is an asset.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented person to come on board as our Digital Marketing Specialist. The Digital Marketing Specialist will help manage all aspects of online advertising, including social media, search engines, websites, and analytics.

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will participate in planning, developing and deploying various general awareness and targeted digital media tactics in order to generate traffic and leads for our core banking products and services and to increase brand awareness for Conexus and its sub-brands.

How you’ll be spending your time

  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing & Member Engagement Manager to develop the digital marketing strategy; planning, execution refinement and analysis, by leveraging consumer and commercial insights.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution, optimization and reporting of online marketing campaigns for Conexus and sub-brands.
  • Develop new and creative growth strategies and innovative solutions for member acquisition and retention.
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing tactics in alignment with department plans, including SEO/SEM, keyword management, email marketing, social media, re-marketing and display advertising campaigns.
  • Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Perform keyword research and competitive analysis to optimize content and identify trends and insights to optimize spend and performance.
  • Plan execute and measure experiments and conversion tests.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage website content using CMS and create landing pages and targeted advertising tactics to optimize the user experience and drive conversions.

  • Reviewing loans submissions, creating security documents, commitment letters, and lawyers’ instructions according to approved terms and conditions.
  • Managing ALL communication with lawyers – reviewing and confirming accuracy of all Lawyer prepared documents & signatures
  • Monitoring security documents, checking documentation for accuracy, and reviewing loans conditions before disbursal.
  • Monitoring and logging completion of conditions precedent, advising lenders/analysts of outstanding conditions in a timely manner.
  • Registering, tracking, and following up on all security documents to ensure accuracy and proper registration/charge.
  • Addressing or directing issues to appropriate resources for resolution, ensuring a seamless member experience.
  • Processing new loans, inputting into system, doing LTO searches, if necessary, and registrations.
  • Setting up facilities, pre-authorized payments, and collateral records on internal banking system.
  • Processing all retail, commercial/agricultural loan dispersals, advances (including progress advances) and fees, according to Crossroads Credit Union policy and guidelines.
  • Following up with Relationship Advisors and Business Analysts regarding incomplete all loan files regularly until completed, using check list.
  • Loan administration and creation of month end and quarterly reports as necessary
  • During various loan audits, providing support and provision of information as necessary.
  • Aid the Associate Manager of Credit Risk as required.

Position

Our Credit Union is actively seeking a Loans Officer Trainee/Loans Officer/Team Lead to join our team.

Based out of the Gainsborough Branch this position is responsible for supporting our members goals and operation related to all lending activities including consumer, agricultural and small business. They are also expected to be a leader in the branch to support a positive work environment.

The primary responsibilities will include:

Promote and maintain active involvement in the community.

Be a leader in the branch to ensure smooth day to day operations.

Conduct interviews with members to identify lending needs.

Perform annual reviews of risk and profitability, identify and monitor trends, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective members.

Identify and pursue opportunities to promote credit union products and services, review current portfolios to ensure members have proper financial solutions.

Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of applicable credit union policies, government legislation as it pertains to lending.

Support team in all areas including deposit transactions.

The Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:

Post-secondary education; plus a minimum of four to six years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Consideration of Loans Trainee position will be given with the right candidate.

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with your co-workers and members.  The individual will also have exceptional communication, problem solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Agriculture, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • People-oriented with the desire to interact, work with, and develop relationships with co-workers, current and prospective members, and community
  • Ability to take initiative with demonstrated experience in achieving sales/growth targets
  • Knowledge of deposit and loan products and services is an asset
  • Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills
