Job Purpose
As a specialist in lending, the Account Manager III plays an essential role on the branch team and is dedicated to assisting and advising members with their financial needs. They understand the importance of placing the right products and services in the hands of our members. Building trust and loyalty with each member interaction, the AMIII gains a deeper understanding of the members’ needs and delivers a financial solution to enhance the members financial wellbeing with a commitment to building lasting relationships. The AMIII is expected to contribute to and support growth and service excellence, as well as contribute to the Cascadia Credit Union (CCU) brand in the region as a well-respected leader of financial solutions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops member relationships, promotes, and completes the sale of a range of deposit products by identifying and pursuing opportunities within existing portfolio through referrals to other AMs, wealth management, or insurance subsidiaries as needed,
- Understands, uncovers, and meets the needs of our members by delivering customized financial solutions which includes a full suite of services and products, including loans (mortgages, lines of credit, and loans) and creditor insurance, manages and grows a credit portfolio, within set limits, lending guidelines, policies and procedures with an acceptable level of risk, by completing credit reviews, authorizing, renewing, or declining member requests, including outside referral sources, and presenting loans over lending limits to the designated lending authority,
- Analyzes members’ needs and provides individualized financial counseling and information, including loan services, estate accounts, electronic services, credit cards, deposit, and insurance offerings, while ensuring profitability and acceptable risk of the relationship, and provides appropriate documentation preparation and processing within appropriate relative risk, legislation and/ or regulations,
- Evaluates and reviews security, calculates “loan to value” security position and provides appropriate completed documentation relative to the risk, legislation, and regulations of the member/ venture,
- Conducts credit investigations, security inspections and searches as required,
- Understands complex financial needs of members and provides global solutions,
- Builds both internal and external networks to encourage referrals, share best practices and enhance product knowledge as well as capitalize on opportunities,
- Proactively contacts members in conjunction with reviews to identify present and future needs for additional opportunities,
- Demonstrates and maintains a high level of risk management knowledge, and keeps apprised of changing rules and regulations pertaining to relevant legislation requirements, as well as keeping a current knowledge of all CCU lending, and deposit products and services,
- Displays confidence and exercises sound judgement in decision making,
- Performs additional responsibilities aligned with team goals as assigned.

Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma
- Minimum one-year post-secondary formal education, or equivalent
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience lending, and/or in a lending support role
- Successful completion of in-house training program and CCUA courses of Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning, Products & Services, and Retail lending, within established timelines
- Maintain proficiency with developing systems, applications, and productivity programs
- Combined experience and post-secondary education in the areas that are directly related to industry will be considered
