THE POSITION: 
Reporting to the Chief Retail & Operating Officer, the VP Fintech Partnership Development will capture opportunities with fintech partners and create value by innovating products and services that customers from a broad group of segments can benefit from. This will be achieved through oversight, leadership and execution, supporting partner identification, screening, and onboarding. This role will monitor market intelligence for fintech’s to stay on top of the changing landscape in opening banking, emerging technologies and innovation.

The VP Fintech Partnership Development does the following:

  • Support the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in ongoing partner identification, onboarding, and relationship management with the objective of increasing efficiency in onboarding partners that support our strategic objectives
  • Act as a liaison with partners to address and resolve partner concerns and performance issues
  • Manage relationships with partners to increase profitable revenue (ROI), improve member service and enable employees to deliver results
  • Manage and report on the funnel of potential partners and existing relationships
  • Contribute to completion of partner and 360 degree self-assessments as part of periodic (annual) partner reviews
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements for financial services, including open banking, blockchain, cyber security, fraud, OSFI B10 Outsourcing guidelines, privacy and data standards
  • Represent Innovation Credit Union at national, regional, and virtual events

Chief Operating Officer

Prairie Centre Credit Union, Saskatchewan’s largest rural-based credit union, currently has a permanent full-time opportunity available for the position of Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for all retail-related functions including Advisory Services, Retail Deposits, Retail Credit, Retail Support, and Corporate Credit. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, dynamic leader and will play an integral role in supporting effective retail operations that result in an outstanding member experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and support a relationship-based service environment by delivering sound advice that benefits both members and the credit union
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and achievement of corporate strategy
  • Provide oversight in the credit portfolio, approval process and loan administration
  • Lead merger activities and special projects in support of strategic initiatives
  • Provide leadership in the development and monitoring of annual operating plans and budgets, and transfer of such to division managers
  • Promote the credit union, participate in member and community events, and support community economic development initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial legislative requirements
  • Oversee the development of policy and procedures in accordance with PCCU established guidelines
  • Coach, develop, mentor, and motivate direct reports

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree, Associate of the Credit Union, or a combination of education and experience in the financial services industry (preferably credit union) with a minimum of 10 years industry experience
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities and operational knowledge with a sound understanding of retail operations and the sales process
  • Proven leadership and management at a senior level with escalating responsibilities and strategic involvement
  • Ability to lead, develop, and implement sales and service initiatives with a proven background in achieving sales/growth targets
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with an aptitude for relationship and team building

North Peace Savings is recruiting for an experienced Business Advisor. The Business Advisor will have expert knowledge in the areas of equipment financing and the agricultural industry accountable for the overall management of a large portfolio of business accounts that exhibit a high degree of complexity and value to North Peace Savings and Credit Union.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Business Advisor is accountable for the overall management of an assigned portfolio of business credit accounts that exhibit a high degree of complexity and value to NPSCU. The focus of the position will be on maintaining and strengthening exiting member relationships and building new member relationships while ensuring all financial needs of the member are satisfied within the risk appetite of the credit union. The ability to meet financial objectives related to the profitable and sound growth and retention of assigned portfolio is critical to success. Proactively develop long-term relationships with members, service partners and local markets to optimize business opportunities and referrals enhances value. In all activities, ensures prudent risk management is followed to protect NPSCU. Provide sound financial advice and the ability to effect ‘win-win’ situations to assist members in attaining their financial aspirations.

This role requires a strong direction of equipment financing as well as a clear and thorough understanding of the agricultural industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for building rewarding relationships through a superior service experience, providing consistent delivery of high quality service to both internal and external members.
