As the Financial Services Relationship Manager you will be….

Responsible for delivering core banking products and financial services to members through a consultative relationship. This includes:

  • Managing a growing portfolio of relationships
  • Providing a holistic approach to services
  • Developing business through community involvement and networking opportunities
  • Providing lending products including personal and mortgage loans
  • Providing deposit products such as GIC and RRSP
  • Positively influencing member acceptance of a technology driven approach to banking services
  • Establishing relationships of trust and confidence with members to ensure retention of existing business and future business

As the Financial Services Relationship Manager you are ….

  • Able to take a holistic approach with each member interaction in order to provide the right solutions which involves identifying referral opportunities to other lines of business including wealth management and business services.
  • Entrepreneurial in your approach to building business, with a proven track record in sales and business development.
  • A motivated and results-oriented professional who believes that getting involved in the community, building relationships and participating in business development and networking events is fundamental to building a pipeline of prospects and opportunity.

Through the management of complex accounts, you will manage an assigned Farm & Business portfolio consisting of large market enterprise accounts that have a high/acute degree of complexity and value.

 

What We Are Looking For . . . . .

To be considered for a Farm & Business Advisor at this level you must have a minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in sales and service managing a diverse portfolio in a farm and business banking environment along with professional qualifications by degree or combination of education and experience.

This position requires exceptional communication skills, problem solving skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships. Proven success working in a sales, service and goal oriented environment and superior ability to analyze loans, interpret financial statements and assess risk. A solid background within the credit union system or a financial institution is an asset and a commitment to continuous learning and development is necessary.

Lending Services Officer

THE POSITION:

 

Due to a recent opening in our lending department, North Valley Credit Union is seeking the services of a qualified Loans Officer. The successful candidate will report directly to the Loans Manager.  Responsibilities will include duties typically associated with the lending function such as interviewing members, monitoring portfolio performance and focusing on growth opportunities. While we seek an individual with prior experience in the lending area, we are prepared to train the skills necessary to fulfill the position responsibilities. This position will provide the opportunity for the successful applicant to gain exposure to various types of lending.   This position is available immediately and the job posting will remain open until filled.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum grade 12 diploma supplemented by direct lending training and experience
  • Consideration given to those individuals with loan security clerk abilities and seeking to advance their career
  • A record of completing both formal and informal training and self-development courses
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills
  • Proven ability in portfolio management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Willingness to engage in all types of lending
  • A working knowledge of syndicated loans and lease adjudication will be an asset but this can be learned over time.

 

 

COMPENSATION:

 

The level of compensation provided will depend upon qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package, which includes an 8% matched defined contribution pension plan as administered by the Co-operative Superannuation Society.  This position will also qualify for participation in a very generous, un-capped variable pay-profit sharing program that is industry leading within the credit union system of Saskatchewan.  A full range of employee benefits are provided including medical, dental, life insurance and more. THE CREDIT UNION:

 

North Valley Credit Union is a single branch operation located in the Town of Esterhazy. Total assets under administration are approaching $ 128 million. NVCU has the highest risk-weighted capital ratio of any credit union in the province combined with some of the lowest delinquency ratios. The staff complement is 11 FTE.

 

THE COMMUNITY:

 

Esterhazy is located north of the Qu’Appelle valley, 73 km from the Manitoba border and 90 km southeast of Yorkton. It has a population of approximately 2,800 and is a full service community. Located within our community is a hospital, medical clinic, dentist, part-time Optometrist, an RCMP detachment and K-12 schools plus a daycare centre. Other amenities include a 9-hole grass green golf course, curling and skating rinks, three gymnasiums including an Anytime Fitness facility, outdoor aquatic centre, children’s park, walking trails, museum, library, Potash Interpretive Centre and bowling alley.  It also has a strong retail sector consisting of three pharmacies, two grocery stores, three convenience stores, a hardware store, bargain shop and several restaurants. The potash mines in the immediate area are expanding and this increased economic activity bodes well for the future of this geographic region.

VP, Operations

Primary Purpose:

The Vice President, Operations (VP, Operation) is a member of the Senior Leadership Team who provides leadership, oversight and coordination of retail banking operations, insurance, financial planning, and facilities for Northern Savings Credit Union.  This leader translates business strategies into goals, objectives, and processes to affect sound and prudent operations of the Credit Union all in an effort to ensure exemplary member service.

This business unit leader is responsible for sales and services including, member support, needs assessment, escalation of issues, overseeing the provision of exemplary member service, providing for engagement of employees, managing the operations to be efficient and effective.  This position is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the buildings, efficiency, and good working conditions of the facilities.

The VP, Operations is to conduct their duties while demonstrating positive leadership within the Credit Union and externally in the community. They are to inspire the employees to achieve their maximum potential and produce results in the best interest of the credit union while respecting the members.

  • Extensive experience in evaluating all aspects of credit decisions, at a corporate level is required.
  • Extensive sales and service experience is required.
  • Extensive lending experience is preferred.

Travel is a requirement of this position.
