Commercial Business Advisor
Full Time, Permanent – Central and Western, NL
Focusing on providing exceptional member service, the Commercial Business Advisor is identifies business development and retention opportunities for the Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union (NLCU). With a focus on developing and maintaining long-term, full-service, profitable member service relationships with existing and new commercial members, the Commercial Business Advisor gains an understanding of the members’ financial goals and objective and suggestions solutions to help the member achieve these goals.
With a proven ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information to evaluate the financial structure of the company, relative to the business goals and corresponding credit risk, the Commercial Business Advisor makes recommendations regarding approval and structure of commercial credit with NLCU. The successful candidate also assists the Director, Credit in all functions related to the operation of the Credit Department and makes referrals to other areas of NLCU’s business.
Ideally suited to this position is an individual with strong written and oral communication, problem solving, negotiation and analytical skills. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Commercial Credit and a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in business or related field. Through this experience and education you have developed the keen ability to establish and foster member relationships and have demonstrated your ability to succeed in business development type of role.
