As the Regional Manager you will provide oversight and leadership to the operation of multiple branches that have an on-site Branch Manager as well as increasing consistency of member experience and driving organizational growth.

You will establish performance targets for assigned branches along with annual plans and budgets aligned to credit union strategies and objectives.  This role will oversee plan execution, monitoring and reporting on progress, and adjusts as required for success.  The ability to Interface with corporate departments such as wealth management, marketing, human resources and facilities to ensure effective communication, consistent execution of corporate programs, voice for member needs, and engagement and productivity of staff is essential to this role.

As the Regional Manager you will support lending portfolios, while approving loans and recommending a course of action to address collections above the Branch Managers level of authority.  You will provide input into the lending process as well as facilitate feedback on challenges, successes and opportunities for the branch while ensuring branch lending teams have the support and training required.

In this role you will provide leadership and will coach direct reports (Branch Managers), ensuring they can build a strong and engaged team capable of delivering the business.  The ability to facilitate Branch Manager collaborations and communication is also an important function of this role.

Preference will be given to those with industry related education including CUIC Studies and a proven track record in a credit union or other financial institution management environment.

What are we looking for?

  • Successful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Commerce and Business Administration) requiring 3 – 4 years of full-time study or equivalent.
  • Thorough understanding of credit union operations, principles, and values.

  • Minimum seven years of experience managing a financial service environment: managing a diversified loan and deposit portfolio, successfully developing and managing people, business development.

The Position:

We are seeking a proven leader with a breadth of financial institution experience to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

What You’ll Do: 

Strategy & Planning – Be a big picture thinker:

  • Work closely with the CEO and collaborate with the Senior Management Team on the development of strategic plans, goals, objectives, and policies aimed at moving Atlantic Edge Credit Union forward.
  • Identify key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and adjust course when needed.
  • Analyses and monitors industry trends and activities with a view to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency and innovation. 

Team Leadership – Walk the Talk:

  • Promote the culture and vision of the credit union while fostering an engaged work environment.
  • Be an advocate for change and a role model within the credit union and system, manage resistance and move teams forward.
  • Coordinate, supervise, coach, mentor and develop direct reports to become our future leaders. 

Branch Operations – Optimize branch services in line with member needs:

  • Collaborate with Regional Managers to define branch goals and monitor and review branch policies, procedures, systems and processes to identify and achieve efficiencies.
  • Monitor economic conditions and make recommendations that will optimize growth opportunities.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate sales and service action plans and programs in support of relationship management, sales and referral tracking and reporting, variable profit sharing and recognition programs.
  • Manage relationships with partner organizations to capitalize on their offerings. 

Departmental Oversight – Put your breadth of experience to practice:

  • Provide direction, leadership and functional guidance to the following departments; Retail and Commercial Lending and Deposits, Human Resources, Member Experience and Communications inclusive of Marketing, Cooperative Social Responsibility, Data Analysis and new Products and Services.

Community & Board Relations – Get to know our membership and communities and make a difference:

  • Participate in system and community events, advocate for and ensure that the Credit Union, its mission, vision and values are presented in positive manner, and promote the aims and objectives of the Credit Union at the Local, Regional and National level.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships through active community engagement.
  • Serve as the Management liaison to the board and resource various meetings and committees of the board. 

Location:

This position will be located in one of our 11 branches, with the ability to work remotely, as required. 

Travel:

This position requires occasional travel, evening and weekend work.

THE POSITION:

Reporting to the VP, Internal Audit, the CUs inSync partners of Conexus, Innovation and Cornerstone Credit Unions are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The IT/Data Auditor is responsible to supervise, to support, and to conduct independent, objective assurance and consulting activities related to Information Technology (IT) general and application controls.  These activities are designed to add value and improve an organization’s operations. Key to this position is the evaluation and testing of business process controls that rely on technology to ensure the organization and its data are secure from external or internal threats.  Audit projects must be conducted in accordance with The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Mandatory Guidance, Core Principles, Code of Ethics and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards). This position is also responsible for:

  • Conduct IT and IT-related audit projects within credit union operations following the Institute of International Auditors Standards. Audit projects may include reviews related to software application management, system development, management of IT and enterprise architecture, system security and any other services that rely on the organization’s technological infrastructure.
  • Perform proper planning to ensure adequate risk assessment (including fraud risk considerations) to facilitate identification of controls for testing.
  • Evaluate and test IT general controls, application controls, and business process controls to support internal audit projects.
  • Evaluate and test adequacy of processes related to IT Governance, and Data Governance.
  • Utilize data to support the development of audit plans and the timely identification of risk through the continuous audit process.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the audit, which may include the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.
  • Build and maintain a good rapport with clients throughout the engagements.
  • Develop meaningful Audit Reports with management recommendations supported by proper root cause analysis in coordination with the Audit team.

The successful candidate will be a team-oriented, community minded individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent or minimum 5 years’ financial institution experience related to Information Technology and/or Data Analytics.  A Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) designation would be considered an asset.  Along with proven skills and knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Analytics/Research, the candidate will have a continuing thirst for knowledge and be a life-long learner. Financial Analyst
