Senior Analyst, Financial Management & Reporting

SaskCentral is seeking a collaborative and analytical finance professional to join our team. As the Senior Analyst, Financial Management & Reporting, you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by delivering insightful financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. In this role, you will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of SaskCentral’s financial information while identifying trends, risks, and opportunities that contribute to the organization’s financial success.

The Job

In this role, you will lead the preparation and review of SaskCentral’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements, regulatory reporting, tax filings, and reporting for the Executive Leadership Team, Board, and committees. Working closely with leaders across the organization, you will provide actionable financial insights that support strategic initiatives, operational planning, and informed decision-making. You will support the financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring, while partnering with business leaders to provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations. You will also provide oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and clearing and settlement activities, support audit and regulatory requirements, monitor changes to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial reporting, controls, and organizational performance.

The Candidate

You hold a degree in Business Administration, complemented by a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, along with 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the financial services sector. You have a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Canadian tax requirements, and regulatory environments, supported by excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. You are collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex financial information to a variety of stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred, and knowledge of the credit union system or broader financial services industry would be considered an asset.
