Key Outcomes & Responsibilities:

The Reporting Analyst, Business Intelligence develops and delivers business intelligence reporting solutions to clients from the Enterprise Data Warehouse and from other Concentra applications, through collaboration with stakeholders. 

Purpose of the Position:

The Reporting Analyst provides effective delivery of Business Intelligence reporting solutions by designing, developing, implementing and supporting Business Intelligence reports and solutions from the Enterprise Data Warehouse that meet business requirements and IT standards.  You will develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Reporting Services platform (SSRS/SSAS), Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, Excel PowerPivot and other Business Intelligence tools.  To be successful you will understand dashboard, reporting and analytic needs required by the end user, and create detailed solution definition and design documentation to address those needs.  This will include understanding and converting business requirements and user specifications into reporting solutions to meet client needs by working closely with clients and IT teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.

We will ask you to prioritize end-user requirements in order to identify and plan development of reporting solutions with an understanding of the underlying data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse as well as the data housed in other Concentra applications and databases.  You will provide training and assistance to users for generation of reports and use of BI Intelligence tools and perform quality assurance testing, validate reports compared to business requirement or user specifications before deploying to end users.  It will require working with cross-functional teams; participating in the gathering and documenting of reporting requirements to meet business needs, as well as deploying and scheduling reporting on the SQL Server Reporting Services site and maintaining a report inventory and revision history of all deployed reports.

In this role, you will support the Information Management department in meeting client needs and strengthening relationships by working with numerous stakeholders throughout the organization to build and maintain strong relationships to improve the efficient and effective delivery of information within Concentra.  You will identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency, resulting in optimal utilization of resources and technologies, provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members, and document procedures and processes for the development and maintenance of reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of post-secondary education in the field of computer science or information management or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in an IT role with designing, developing, and testing operational reporting and/or business intelligence solutions

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a banking environment, with data mining financial product data
