Growth Financial Corp. is currently seeking a Financial Planner for its Creston, BC operations. This position has much to offer with its wonderful location among the Kootenay mountain region of British Columbia.

Growth Financial Corp. is a partnership company between Creston and District Credit Union and Heritage Credit Union. The Financial Planner is a proactive position that is responsible for delivering professional financial and investment advice to clientele within the Creston area.

Responsibilities for this position include:

- Build and maintain a book of business by sourcing new business, building business relationships within the community, and developing existing member and community relationships.

- Set and meet sales, growth, and professional development targets.

- Build both internal and external networks to capitalize on business referral opportunities.

- Provide comprehensive investment, insurance, and financial advice in a way that educates the client and enables them to make sound financial choices.

- Facilitate clients to take action and enact their financial plan.

- Build high-trust member relationships by consistently following through on commitments, being proactive with client contact efforts, and providing value added financial advice that enables the client to improve their financial position over time.

- Partner with credit union peers through referral or joint client meeting to consolidate business held elsewhere and provide the right product at the right time.

- Serve as an internal resource and role model for organizational peers in the provision of financial products, services, concepts, and advice.

The ideal candidate for the position will have a post-secondary education; 5+ years of related experience in a professional sales role within a financial institution or investment firm; and working knowledge of Canadian Investment, Insurance, and Financial Planning products, strategies, and concepts. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

Mandatory requirements for this position include a valid and current BC Mutual Funds License and a valid and current BC Life Insurance License.
