Systems Support Technician


We are looking to add another member to our busy Systems Support team! This position works as part of our broader IT team and is responsible for responding to 3rd tier technical/systems service requests to employees in all 4 lines of business via phone or email. In addition you will provide remote and desktop technical support. This person will work closely with the Systems Support team, effectively managing time to ensure exceptional customer service. Key Accountabilities:


  • Providing Blackberry, laptop, desktop maintenance, support and troubleshooting to all employees

  • Coordinating and managing 3rd party vendors in the break/fix support of desktops, monitors, printers and other peripheral equipment

  • Providing internal support to leasing employees by implementing upgrades, liaising with vendors, creating and maintaining documentation for all leasing systems and creating initial set-up process for new users

  • Providing support on servers, applications, and technology infrastructures

  • Performing installations of LAN cables and connection to switches

  • Configuring and installing ADSL, WIFI network equipment

  • Providing DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) support by preparing test workstation environment

  • Participating in operational projects as required

About You!


 You bring to the Information Technology team a minimum of 2 years’ experience with computer systems including data, local or wide area networks, server and software/hardware assessment and repair. You have exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities. In addition you demonstrate strong project support, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You have the ability effectively build and maintain business relationships, and exercise discretion on confidential matters.
