About the role

As Head of Propositions, Segment and Product Innovation, you will support the strategic and revenue growth priorities of Prospera, primarily driving the development of segment led proposition for business banking, family banking and wealth based on corporate strategy and market opportunities. 

You will also be responsible for understanding members and the identification, development and execution of product strategies, and for continuously innovating Prospera’s distribution channels, product and services in order to increase member value and satisfaction.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and own product/segment propositions that deliver revenue, sustain member engagement and enhance member experience.

  • Plan product and pricing strategy in collaboration with Finance, Sales Operations, Risk, and Marketing Leadership.

  • Determine, establish and use appropriate financial and non-financial metrics to assess product and proposition performance.

  • Work closely with other Marketing teams on member and product promotions and direct marketing initiatives.

  • Gather and analyze feedback from different departments including sales, marketing, operations to set the strategic vision for existing products and value propositions and the development of new products and value propositions.

  • Lead analytical portion of product development and managing overall product suite.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase member engagement and deepen relationships, including for digital across channels.

  • Provide and maintain an environment that fosters product innovation and development to meet and exceed member expectations.

  • Manage relationships with select third party providers.

  • Provide overall leadership, proactive coaching, and mentoring to the Product and Segment team to assist them in successfully achieving business goals and personal development goals.

  • Inspire others and build effective teams by setting clear performance objectives and measurements to these objectives.

  • Support continuous learning for staff to assist them in achieving career success and growth.

  • Interact with Human Resources on the recruitment, compensation and performance management of direct reports.

  • Provide leadership and strong project management to establish and maintain an environment of effective, productive teamwork both within Marketing and in cross-functional work teams with other stakeholders across the organization.

  • Demonstrate a proven knowledge of the business, member segment, product and services, with a strong understanding of the impact of technological innovation on the future of the business and member needs.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or related field is required, MBA or advanced degree is preferred

  • Minimum 10+ years job related experience; a minimum of 5 years of product management experience specifically in Personal and/or Small business banking

  • Thorough knowledge of financial services industry product and services for personal and business banking

  • Thorough understanding of business theory and marketing practices

  • Proven record of effective product management and new product development

  • Innovative and creative thinker

  • Superior ability in product planning, profitability and analysis

  • Strong knowledge of member segments and value proposition

  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with strategic partners

  • Sound leadership, staff management, and teambuilding skills

  • Advanced knowledge of marketing concepts, processes and functions

  • Strong evidence of time management skills required

  • Ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs

  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to prioritize

  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization

  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with Prospera’s Executive Team

  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical initiatives, and administration initiatives
