Job Function

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of both internal and external strategic communications and marketing programs as outlined in the Police Credit Union’s annual Marketing Plan. Providing marketing skills and administrative support as a member of the internal Marketing Committee.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain Marketing Strategies for branch network and digital channels by communicatingmarketing campaigns and features and benefits of products and services. Coordinates in-branch displays and signage and maintain external displays and materials and ensure timely removal.

Implements Campaign Marketing; deposits, loans, mortgages, Mastercard and referrals for portfolio growth

Implements Member Communications: Member surveys, Member Direct Integrated Website, E-marketing; Newsletter and Statement; On-hold messaging; In-branch displays; Police Publications and Intranet services; acts as liaison with marketing vendors to ensure timely production of marketing materials. Coordinate annual reports. Provides marketing research data for analysis and prepares standardized reports for management.

Maintains and Implements promotional awareness campaigns: Wealth Management, Ontario Police Memorial Foundation, Credit Union Day

Maintains Community Relationship strategies; coordinate special events within the policing community as assigned (holiday parties, golf tournaments, conferences, ceremonies, appreciation dinners).

Coordinate post-secondary scholarship and Cooperative Young Leaders (CYL) camp applications

Implements Event Marketing; Term maturities, mortgage maturities, retiree letters

Implements relationship marketing; Rewards and Non-Rewards members, Recruits, New HH – member on-boarding; Produce and distribute new household email in conjunction with third-party provider as required. Prepares and organizes marketing material for membership development programs and product sales

Implements/Maintains – Collateral and Equipment; Order, distribute and maintain adequate inventory of marketing materials.  Maintain marketing files and record keeping; assist with updating marketing materials as assigned.

Maintains Marketing Budget; administration of records and reporting of invoices for payments

Attends External CU Marketing Group sessionsand related functions/duties



  • Understanding of Credit Union’s business objectives and products and services would be considered an asset


  • Highly organized, effective time manager; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent command of writing for various vehicles including exceptional grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with attention to details.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with a wide range of staff including management, board members and service delivery staff.
  • Superior communication skills; able to deal effectively in-person, by e-mail and on the telephone with internal and external customers/suppliers.
  • Proficient computer skills in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and/or MS Publisher, web software and/or MCIF software applications considered an asset.


  • O.S.S.G.D. plus 4 – 6 years job related experience or
  • Marketing or business-related education/training considered an asset
  • Some college plus 2 – 3 years job related experience or
  • Completed college/university marketing, business, design or journalism program, plus one-year job related experience.
