Manager, Banking System, Kawartha Credit Union

Reporting to the Vice President, Information Systems, you will be responsible for:

  • The quality of service provided by the Information Systems department.
  • Managing the banking system software requirements for Kawartha Credit Union (Kawartha).
  • Managing a team of banking system subject matter experts.
  • Planning, prioritizing, documenting and integrating banking and ancillary system solutions.
  • Day-to-day management of vendors as needed to support banking and ancillary system solutions.
  • The maintenance and support of systems delivering Kawartha’s positive public reputation and brand.
  • Ensuring efficient and timely processing of overnights, timely and adequate reporting, complete and accurate banking processes and issue resolution/escalation/management.
  • The development and support of Kawartha’s IT governance policies and management procedures.

Qualifications Required:

  •  A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing banking system technology.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a banking system support team.
  • Experience in core banking, lending, business processes, system implementations and process reengineering is preferred.

  • Proven experience in the creation and professional delivery of gap analysis, business process, workflow and business requirements documentation.

  • Proven experience in the creation, development, and writing of technical, testing and training procedures.

  • Working experience with project management, presentation (e.g. MS Power Point) and/or document control software.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.

  • Successful completion of Project Management training (PMBOK based) or PMI certification or equivalent related experience.
