Director Strategic Alliances

The Director Strategic Alliances role is directly responsible for generating profitable business revenue within the Alberta and Saskatchewan territory and marketplace by creating new strategic alliances and expanding the breadth of existing strategic alliances.  This position interprets market trends and client needs to develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan that includes new and existing sales strategies and tactics.

Key Outcomes & Responsibilities

We are looking for someone that will execute Concentra’s approved strategic alliance strategy by establishing key relationships with clients through the leadership of strategic and conceptual discussions that lead to business referrals.  You will determine future client needs for mutual growth and build client buy in; identifying key client decision makers and execute an account plan that leads to sales growth and increased market-share through opportunity spotting and field sales referrals.  This role coordinates and leads credit union business opportunity proposals and works to enhance the visibility of Concentra within assigned territory through participation in client and industry events.

Effectively managing and growing client alliances is key and you will achieve this through the development of strategic regional plans and account sales plans to execute effective territory management through meetings, presentations and calls with clients.  You will support field pursuit of new business opportunities by working closely with associated business lines to achieve volumes and fee targets as identified in the annual marketing plan and budget; manage profitable client relationships, measuring personal targets to performance metrics and controlling associated expenses; and by maintaining awareness and understanding of legislative and regulatory requirements pertaining to the credit union market segment and its impacts.

In this role, you will increase client relationship value score for designated clients by preparing and delivering sales presentations that address the clients’ needs and meets strategic challenges; utlizing tools, templates and reporting, understanding each client’s product selection criteria with the ability to articulate how Concentra’s products meet those criteria.  You will actively identify and provide market and risk assessments for new or enhanced product development and existing product management.

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or equivalent combination of related professional designation or experience and formal education and 7+ years progressive experience in the financial services sector in sales, consulting, financial analysis and/or product management.  Preference will be towards candidates with an in-depth knowledge of the credit union system.
