Coastal Community is committed to improving financial health, enriching lives and building healthier communities. We are seeking to fill the position of Branch Manager to support the Capital Region.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Branch Manager oversees the operation of the branch. Business development and sales are the major focus of this role, creating awareness and excitement for services Coastal Community has to offer, resulting in strong relationships and growth. The Branch Manager provides leadership, coaching and support to the branch team members in all aspects. This includes branch operations, sales and service initiatives, member service and employee relations. The Branch Manager is responsible for the achievement of financial goals and targets for the branch and empowering team members to develop supporting plans that drive growth levels that meet or exceed individual branch targets. By focusing on high levels of member satisfaction, employee engagement, succession planning initiatives, increasing community connections, business networks, the Branch Manager will create opportunities to gain efficiencies using shared resources of the region which contributes to overall regional performance.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a related discipline (e.g. Commerce and Business Administration) requiring 3-4 years of full-time study or equivalent. The preferred candidate will have 7 years progressive financial and lending experience with lending limits, a thorough understanding of credit union operations, principles and values and a solid understanding of the competitive environment in the financial marketplace and local communities. In addition, our ideal candidate will also have:

  • Advanced understanding of annual operating plans and strategically aligned programs and services
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with strong leadership and team building results
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills using data, facts, and reasoning to draw valid conclusions
  • Solid communication and networking skills with the ability to connect with individuals inside and outside the organization

The Branch Manager will  be able to develop collaborative, positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and will be a team player. This individual will also be a self-learner with high motivation to engage in continuous learning and self-development opportunities.
