Location:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Assistant Controller to be based in our head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on a Monday through Friday work week.

The Challenge: 

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Assistant Controller will be accountable for a high level of support and will contribute to a comprehensive, efficient and accurate reporting process that satisfies both internal and external stakeholder requirements. This position will be required to evaluate business performances and initiatives and measure them against established benchmarks.  To be successful in this position you will require a strong knowledge in the areas of financial and management accounting, risk assessment, compliance, analysis and reporting. 

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years experience in a finance or accounting position supported with a  designation such as CPA,CA,   CPA,CGA or CPA,CMA

· Superior analytical skills

· Thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, governance principles and internal/external controls

· High level of organizational skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail

· Strong computer skills with extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

· Strong communication skills, both written and oral

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Previous experience with regulatory bodies (OSFI, CDIC, FINTRAC, etc), internal/external audits and the banking industry would be an asset
