Reporting to the General Manager, the Member Service Representative Supervisor supports the credit union’s business strategy through the provision of personal quality service to members and team leadership and supervision of the Member Service Representative team. The MSR Supervisor performs a variety of supervisory, member service, and administrative activities. Responsibilities include leading the Member Service Representative Team by organizing and overseeing the daily work activities and schedules of the MSRs as well as providing them with training, guidance and coaching. The role also resolves non-routine problems and enquiries referred by the MSRs, and participates in their hiring, performance review, and disciplinary processes as required. in addition, the MSR Supervisor provides oversight for compliance clean-up, maintenance and management of inactive accounts, dealing with fraudulent activities, maintaining the treasury and ordering cash supplies as well as balancing and reconciling cash holdings at month-end to ensure these activities are completed and requirements are met.

The MSR Supervisor will have excellent interpersonal skills, be adept at developing and maintaining effective member and team relationships, and have the ability to effectively lead a team. Training for the right candidate will be provided.

 

The successful candidate will have the following requirements:

  • Customer service experience, preferably within a credit union environment

  • Demonstrated team lead or supervisory ability is required

  • Knowledge and experience in resolving member issues and enquiries as they relate to banking transactions

  • Experience working with banking applications

  • The incumbent will also have an understanding of the credit union system including operations, principles and values

Our ideal candidate will also possess:

  • A combination of 1-2 years of financial industry experience and/or industry courses related to bookkeeping and customer service or a related field would be preferred but is not required
