Job Description

Basic Function
This position is focused on supporting our Client Development Directors and Managers with technical presales questions while conducting proactive activities to increase sales. Partner Specialists will have direct day-to-day contact with Directors and Managers and engage with clients.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for answering presales technical questions relating to their assigned partner or category
  • Educating account managers on the products and resources to help them become as self-sufficient as possible. 
  • Work with Product Managers, providing consultation to ensure the Client Development teams have all required information to promote and support the product with client base, including product features, implementation requirements, ongoing maintenance, etc.
  • Work with Product Managers, Sales Director and Accounts to respond to RFP’s. Take the lead on answering technical, service and product related questions. 
  • Support the development of sales tools and demos to assist Directors & Managers in providing solutions to their customers.
  • Conduct conference calls, client webinars and site visits as necessary.
  • Participate in sales calls (one to one and one to many) and account business review meetings to support Account Manager with technical, service and product related context. 
  • Provide consultation to Account Manager and client with respect to change requests, incidents and tickets. Assist in requirements and scope definition.
  • Work with Business Analysts monitor performance and make recommendations for remediation where necessary. 
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to further relationships with clients.
  • Obtain relevant industry certifications and attend approved outside trainings.

Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in a relevant field or at least 5-10 years industry experience in a pre-sales consultation role.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years demonstrating progressively increased responsibility and technical pre-sales or consulting experience
  • Technical role experience payments, financial services and/or fintech
  • Previous technical project management experience is an asset
  • Strong passion for learning and teaching others
  • Proven group presentations skills
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of problem solving/analytic skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and come up with proactive ideas that will increase sales.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and in a constructive manner with management, peers and coworkers.
  • Concentrate on certain areas of technology driven by partner focus or company objectives
  • Accuracy, time management skills and flexibility to meet the needs of a diverse client base.
  • Experience in technology sales is an asset
  • Experience working in a fast-paced work environment
