Motor City Community Credit Union (MCCCU) is truly a complete, member-owned financial institution from the ground up. Its heritage dates back to 1938 when one of Windsor’s first credit unions was started inside the Windsor Star. In the 80 years since, 14 credit unions have come together to form MCCCU’s rich heritage. With over $363 million in assets, MCCCU’s is Windsor’s local credit union, passionate in its mission to enhance the quality of life in the community by delivering superior financial products and services effectively, efficiently and with excellence.

With three years of double digit growth behind it, MCCCU is seeking a visionary, dynamic and inspiring leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Reporting to, and in collaboration with, the Board of Directors, the CEO provides strategic leadership to MCCCU by working closely with a talented Senior Management Team in establishing, implementing and overseeing the Credit Union’s long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies. The CEO serves as the face of MCCCU, playing a key ambassadorial role with members and the community the credit union so passionately services, while also ensuring strong and productive relationships within the credit union system, with partners and with the regulator.

As an ideal candidate, you are a highly strategic, future focused, and trusted financial services leader passionate about growth and enhancing member-service excellence. You bring a minimum of ten years of experience at a senior management level combined with demonstrable skill in strategic planning, financial analysis and change management. An inclusive and motivating leader who is visible and engaging, you are deeply respected for your outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills that are rooted in openness, transparency, and a willingness to proactively and collaboratively explore creative solutions. You are highly team oriented and possess a flair for talent management, succession planning and organizational development. You are skilled at building a cohesive and high performing culture united in the exploration of innovation, efficiency, service excellence and the leveraging of technology to support these areas. Your sound governance knowledge and previous experience reporting to, or serving on, a board of directors will be of great value to MCCCU, as will your experience with unionized environments. Although not required, an accounting designation and previous experience working within the credit union system is considered an asset.
