Primary Purpose

The Manager Retail Relationship Development (Manager RRD) is a key position in the Credit Union with a focus on relationship management for new and existing members in the retail stream of the Credit Union. This role is a point of contact for members whose needs span the full spectrum of personal products offered by the Credit Union. The Manager RRD demonstrates strong relationship management and business development skills to bring new members to Northern Savings Credit Union and deepen the relationship for existing members.

The Manager RRD is to demonstrate positive and professional leadership within the Credit Union and externally in the community. The Manager RRD is to collaborate with other staff to achieve maximum potential and produce results in the best interest of the Credit Union. The Manager RRD will identify the needs of retail members and respect the role of colleagues from retail financial services, insurance and wealth management in their responsibility to deliver products and services.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of post-secondary education is required.

  • Completion of sales and service training is required.

  • Completion of retail credit lending program is required.

    Experience

  • Previous retail lending experience required.

  • Previous financial services experience is required.

  • Wide-ranging retail credit background and experience in evaluating all aspects of credit decisions, including risk, at a corporate level.

  • Banking system knowledge an asset.

    Skills

  • Demonstrated sales and service skills.

  • Business acumen and understanding demands of running a business.

  • Experience in research and negotiations.

  • Expert knowledge of relevant Northern Savings policies and procedures.

  • Expert knowledge of products and services.

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work within time constraints, under pressure and with competing priorities.

  • Proven ability to communicate and liaise professionally with members, potential members, community groups and colleagues whilst maintaining confidentiality.

  • Working knowledge, skills and experience in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated public speaking abilities.

    Travel is a requirement of this position.
