Loans Analyst
 (Full-time, Permanent Position)

The Loan Operations team is an integral link between services, product development and data quality dedicated to supporting the sophisticated product offerings offered within Financial Markets to ensure the success of Credit Unions across Canada.

The Loans Analyst is responsible to deliver specialized operational and technical expertise for Residential, Consumer loans and Securitization by administering and overseeing operational aspects of Residential and Consumer loans portfolios ensuring processes align with Concentra and business unit policies and procedures.  This position requires attention to detail and advanced problem solving skills.  This position delivers accurate transactions and reporting by understanding and analyzing client needs while developing and maintaining effective working relationships within the organization, internal and external clients and suppliers. 

Key Outcomes:

  • The position will Support the development of processes and application changes to address new offerings and system issues by providing technical support
  • Document/update operational processes and assist in the development and implementation of innovative improvements in business unit to support projects and initiatives
  • Oversee the work of staff and ensuring month-end processing is performed to meet strict timelines.  The position acts as a second line of support for staff in problem resolution and resolving complex issues surrounding Residential Mortgages and Consumer loans
  • Ensure completion of data quality testing on mortgages and loans on a timely basis
  • Create process and working collaboratively with various departments on the settlement of pool purchases and securitization sales
  • Perform complex calculations such as gain/losses on credit union mortgage sales
  • Develop, enhance and maintain databases/spreadsheet templates and providing ad hoc reporting as required. Reconciling complex accounts with general ledger
  • Ensure accounting principles are applied
  • Maintain and control the ownership inputs in databases to ensure accurate remittance of funds
  • The position monitors, balances and distributes  critical reporting, such as the Syndicated Credit Union Pool Remittances and Interest Only securitization structures reporting.


The successful candidate will have 1-2 years post-secondary education combined with 3 to 5 years related financial services experience; as well as experience working with various applications supporting lending, finance and accounting and successful completion of a recognized consumer and residential introductory course. Equivalent experience and education will be considered.
