Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will:
• Perform and manage the preparation of financial plans, sales plans, financial forecasts and financial analysis as required with key stakeholders. Ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness of information, providing value added insights and recommendations.
• Analyze financial results, liquidity, cash flows and risk positions to ensure the financial stability and profitability of the credit union
• Conduct research and analyses as required including optimizing our distribution network and competitive analysis
• Provide leadership for the accounting team, in conjunction with the Manager, Accounting.

Qualifications Required:
• Five to ten years of accounting experience
• Five to ten years of strong supervisory/management experience
• Previous work experience in a financial institution preferred
• General and up-to-date knowledge of all Credit Union/Canadian Banking products, services, policies and procedures
• Thorough and up to date knowledge of international Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Advanced and up-to-date knowledge of risk management policies and procedures; accounting policies and procedures;    and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent organization and decision-making skills
