Your Opportunity

A Training Consultant works with credit unions to understand their learning and development goals to support a credit union’s day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate is responsible for addressing learning and development objectives through the design, development, and delivery of a suite of quality knowledge sharing programs. Playing a key role within multiple scale projects, the Training Consultant ensures stakeholders (internal & client) leaning needs are met. This position provides on-site, virtual and self-directed learning and development opportunities

The position is one of business expert and technology generalist that work to align technology solutions with business strategies and may be focused externally on assigned customers and customer groups or internally on product and service quality enhancement.

A Day in the Life

  • Designs, develops and delivers training material to small and large diverse audiences

  • Evaluates and interprets training courses based on the feedback of participants, obstacles encountered, and/or flow and effectiveness of the tools, materials and presentation

  • Evaluates and measures training success, continuously improving methods and delivery

  • Provides a customer centric mindset to assist with client concerns during and after training sessions

  • Manages multi priorities and delivers commitments on time

  • Liaises with key stakeholders and provides leadership, guidance and direction to required teams and committees

  • Maintains a professional presence during training sessions in order to promote Celero’s public image to clients

  • Creates and manages training schedules

  • Maintains knowledge of trends and current & emerging technology in related discipline

  • Anticipates the long term impact of all decisions and take a broad approach to problem solving

Your Resume

  • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Certificate in Adult Education is an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered)

  • 3 to 6 years Adult Education experience

  • Prior experience working in a consulting organization providing operational consulting services is an asset

  • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Canadian financial industry experience which includes Canadian banking system operational experience. (DNA, WealthView, Ovation, Temenos, etc.)

  • Experience in facilitating and presenting face to face and virtual classrooms

  • Experience eliciting requirements and creating user documentation

  • Combination of experience with certifications is an asset (CBAP/CCBA, BCS BA Certification, PMI-PBA, CASE, CCMP, Six Sigma etc.)
