THE POSITION: Saskatoon City Employees Credit Union is seeking a Retail Services - Office Manager to join our organization.

The candidate must possess an aptitude for business development and relationship building. As a member of Saskatoon City Employees Credit Union’s management team the Retail Services – Office Manager supports the credit union’s business strategy through the interpretation and execution of corporate strategies for deposit and member services. This position manages operations on the frontline and with account openings and maintenance including oversight of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance. The role is responsible to manage assigned staff, ensures staff resources are appropriately scheduled, and assists in performing strategic planning activities.


The core function would be to manage the deposit and ancillary services with respect to deposits, cards, digital banking and estate services.  As retail services - office manager the successful candidate will be involved in developing policy and procedures for the non-lending services and assist in the development of  budgets and strategic plans. This position would report directly to the General Manager.




University degree in a related field plus a minimum of 10 years experience in a senior position (credit union experience is a definite asset). Demonstrated strong member relationship is essential as well as commercial lending experience. The candidate must possess effective communication and relationship skills, strong analytical, reasoning and decision making skills along with interpersonal and organizational abilities.


A proven ability to lead, guide and motivate employees; and build and maintain positive relationships with staff, management, board of directors and members. The ability to strategically utilize technology – experience with EroWorks and Microsoft applications is a definite asset. Above average knowledge of credit union deposit products is required in order to meet member’s needs.




Saskatoon City Employees Credit Union currently serves 2300 members as Saskatchewan’s only closed bond Credit Union consisting of city employees, superannuates and their families.  Assets as of September 30, 2018 are $64 Million with a loan portfolio of approximately $53 million comprised of primarily consumer and residential mortgages.




The salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.  A very comprehensive benefit package is offered including up to a 7% matched superannuation.
