An exciting internal opportunity exists, for an experienced Financial Service Associate (FSA), to join Beaumont Credit Union.  Located in Beaumont, Alberta (10 minutes south of the City of Edmonton) Beaumont Credit Union is a full service open bond Credit Union serving Beaumont and surrounding area residents - assets $231 million, loans $179 million, deposits $210 million, staff of 33.

Under general direction, the FSA is the primary Brand Ambassador for Beaumont Credit Union.  This role delivers an exceptional "Service Leadership" experience to our members by providing guidance and service for all their everyday banking needs.  The people in this role are the "face" of Beaumont Credit Union.  They must be well informed of every product and service offering and they must know who the member needs to talk with in order to provide the highest level of Service Leadership.

Technical Know How

  • Process deposits & withdrawals (including term deposits), payments, US Drafts, credit card advances, calculation of foreign and domestic exchange.
  • Process requests for account updates, balances, cheque orders and deposit history.
  • Open new personal savings and chequing accounts; refer business accounts to Business Banking Associate.
  • Refer to Account Manager or Financial Services Officer, member appropriate loan, authorized overdraft or mortgage application requests.
  • Deliver, or refer to Account Manager, Financial Services Officer or Wealth Manager member appropriate investment services and products such as TFSAs, RRSPs, RRIPs, mutual funds, etc.

Must Have skills and abilities

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Comfort and ability to work with a high level of detail/accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Two to four years of job-related/industry experience.
