RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to an environment that aligns with our Values and empowers employees to make decisions in their areas of expertise.

  • Coordinate the full recruitment cycle: develop position profiles, source qualified applicants, screen applicants, coordinate scheduling and conducting interviews, conduct reference checks and evaluate applicant qualifications;

  • Prepare employment offers as well as support with on-boarding/off-boarding process and development;
  • Support benefits administration, including communicating benefits information to employees, in conjunction with payroll personnel;
  • Advise managers on employee relation issues, provide training where required;
  • Support in resolving employee relations issues where required;
  • Support management and employees with learning and development plans;
  • Research and coordinate learning programs; conduct in-house training where required;
  • Work with the management team to launch and coordinate probationary reviews, annual performance reviews and employee surveys;

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Completion in a post-secondary education in a Human Resources related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant capacity, preferably in the credit union industry
  • Advanced knowledge of current HR related provincial legislation and regulations
  • Experience in working with employment regulations
  • Excellent relationship building skills and experience providing recruitment support in a coaching and advisory capacity to all levels of management
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
  • Ensure controls are being adhered to, to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures and governance.
  • Commitment to ongoing development and education
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
