The Position:

 

Branch Manager – 3rd Ave Branch

 

The Opportunity:

 

As the leader of this business unit:

 

  • You will be responsible for managing and leading the largest branch of the organization which compliments approximately 17 full-time equivalency in total and also houses our Commercial and Agricultural Services Department.  This branch has over 6200 total Memberships operating with over $110 million in Total Gross Loans and over $202 million in Total Deposits.  

  • You will have the opportunity to provide input into the operational planning for the branch and the implementation of the annual business plan while also maintaining and actively utilizing that business plan and to have the direct influence in increasing the revenues and profitability for your business unit by growing new Memberships and the total book of business (loans and deposits).

What this Opportunity could look like:

 

  • Encourage and promote 1st Choice Onboarding activities to ensure a consistent member experience delivery with every interaction.  This would include the use of appropriate tools to support a holistic approach to providing advice and recommendation so that members understand what is required to reach their financial goals.

     

  • Create and Implement a business development plan (externally and internally) to grow your branch unit that will align with the corporate strategy and ensuring that the activities that have been implemented from your business plan are on track to meet and/or exceed the branch goals.  You will set reasonable goals with deadlines for completion and monitor the compliance with such plans and achievement of such deadlines.

 

  • Providing leadership to the branch by reinforcing best practices, policies and procedures; developing and coaching direct reports, setting individual goals and objectives, evaluating performance, and providing frequent feedback.

 

  • As the leader of the branch, you would encourage, support and mentor your team to develop and grow while also inspiring a positive, collaborative work environment.  You will ensure that all employees have the right tools, information and knowledge in order to work effectively, serve our members and uphold the branch and Credit Union objectives.

     

  • You will ensure proper internal controls and risk management procedures are in place and being followed by all branch staff and ensuring the adherence to credit union and AML policy and procedure to protect members and avoid losses to the Credit Union.

 

  • You would establish, manage, and maintain awareness of the credit union in your local community and within networking groups.

  • Excellent relationship building skills to establish and cultivate connections within the community, employees, and partners of the organization. 

  • At least 3-5 years of demonstrated excellence in a leadership/management role.

  • 5-7 years’ experience in consumer lending/credit or investment.

  • Personal Financial Planning (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is an asset.

  • Completed a relevant certificate, diploma, degree or designation program.
