A Day in the Life

  • Interpret business requirements as written by Celero’s Business Analysts
  • Create technical system designs that support the proposed business requirements
  • Develop systems by means of writing new programs and systems controls
  • Test new systems and programs based on the system design
  • Support acceptance testing, including assisting business analysts with the execution of their acceptance test plans, resolving reported issues, and preparations for implementation
  • Support system implementation, including development and execution of a detailed technical implementation plan
  • Supply primary back-up for assigned test and production systems
  • Production support activities including; problem management, release management and adhere to change management procedures
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in new technologies to assess their possible application within the work place
  • Be available for after-hours validation as required

Your Resume

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Technical diploma from a college or recognized technical institute
  • Knowledge and experience with Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, C#, .NET, Powershell scripts, MS batch scripts
  • Interpreting business/mapping requirements as written by Business Analysts, and creating technical system designs that support the business/mapping requirements
  • Proven ability to assess client needs for development and determine impact on related processes
  • Quality assurance testing experience and trouble-shooting and documentation skills
  • A track record of continuous professional development, with strong focus on systems development technologies, systems analysis, and methodologies
  • Understanding of systems development lifecycles and methodologies
  • Knowledge and experience with eroWorks DNA banking system, Financial Accounting Suite (FAS), Internet banking and ATM/Point of Sale transaction processing would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Credit Union System or Financial Industry experience preferred
  • DNA Banking conversion, merger or upgrade experience considered a definite asset
  • Valid driver’s license, and ability to travel extensively within Canada
  • Knowledge and experience dealing with Trade life cycle processes/Front Office/Back Office/Risk/Derivatives/OTC Products needed
