As Saskatchewan’s largest rural credit union, Prairie Centre looks to do things differently.  The people here don’t just sell products and services – they serve as rural ambassadors focused on delivering solutions relevant to the needs of our members and communities.  Join the team committed to its prairie uniqueness and enrich the lives of the people that make rural Saskatchewan their home.

Are you a talented, results-driven leader looking to mentor a team committed to delivering an exceptional member experience?  The Manager Retail Deposits is a key member of our senior retail leadership team whose passion is to exceed expected results while fostering an environment of employee engagement and ownership of our success as an organization.

Key Responsibilities:

You focus your energies on your ability to see what’s ahead and identify trends that will be critical to achieving growth targets.  You can accomplish this by asking the right questions at all levels of the organization to identify what is essential to experience long-term success.  You empower your team to learn, be curious, and become energized by your passion to exceed expectations and maximize the value in the member’s service experience.

You understand that there are many moving parts in an organization.  You will need to navigate and align with multiple departments to ensure success.  Understanding how profitable growth yields to the financial success of the organization will be paramount in staying ahead of the competition.  Creation and implementation of competitive and breakthrough strategies consistent with Prairie Centre’s strategic direction will allow you to shape the future of your department.

You build and lead great teams by assembling the right people and enabling them with the right tools to be successful.  You understand that you are only as strong as the people around you, so you see the importance of relating well with people up, down, sideways, inside, and outside the organization. You create an environment which inspires your team to collaborate with other stakeholders to do what’s best because you understand that service excellence is not a specific act – it’s a results producing habit.

Key Competencies:

You will provide ongoing leadership and direction to support Deposit Service Managers and successful operations of our retail branches.  Your interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with an aptitude for relationship and team building are what set you apart.  You bring strong analytical skills with attention to detail to promote your ability to solve complex problems and refine big decisions down to their core.  You will be required to make tough calls, but you will own them and stand by the analysis, wisdom, and experience used in your decision making.  You model your passion for needs-based sales and growth success by ensuring the team focus remains committed to attaining assigned goals.

Qualifications:

  • You will possess a relevant Degree, Associate or Fellow of the Credit Union or a combination of education and experience in the financial services industry

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership position

  • Proven leadership and supervision at a senior level with emphasis on sales management, coaching, accountability, and performance management

Flexible and/or extended work hours may be required at times. Travel is required to ensure you maintain a solid understanding of branch operations.

You will have opportunities for personal and professional growth within an environment that promotes continuous learning and cooperative values.

Salary will commensurate with qualifications, experience, and education.  Upon qualifying, we offer excellent employee benefits and a matched superannuation plan.  Additional benefits include relocation assistance.
