Financial Solutions Manager – River District Branch (Full-time)

The Financial Solutions Manager (FSM) is a unique all-encompassing role that includes lending, investment and cash-related functions. This new role is an ideal fit for the growing south Vancouver community and offers tremendous service flexibility for both our members and our employees. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of this brand new team and utilize your exceptional customer service skills, your passion for team, and your commitment to delivering results. The FSM will report to the Branch Manager.

Key Accountabilities

  • Consistently cultivating an outstanding customer experience by accurately assessing customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions
  • Welcoming customers and providing lending, investments, and cash-related expertise and support
  • Advising on mortgages and secured and unsecured loans within lending policy
  • Developing, maintaining and growing the branch wealth management portfolio, including both mutual funds and term deposits
  • Proactively developing product knowledge and understanding of four lines of business, ensuring meaningful connections with customers; referring to internal business partners as needed
  • Participating in and facilitating regularly scheduled team meetings and workshops to foster a sales and service culture
  • Developing new customer relationships through outbound calls, personal contacts, networking, community events and other activities
  • Supporting daily branch operational and administrative tasks including night deposit transactions, balancing and maintaining ATM(s), ordering and handling Canadian and foreign currency

About You

As the ideal candidate for this role you have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in financial services, including cash, lending and mutual funds experience. You demonstrate a keen ability to uncover customer needs through establishing rapport and listening to the customer. You lead by example, and consistently go above and beyond for your customers and your team. You thrive in building relationships and love to be a part of community and networking opportunities in support of business development. A mutual funds license is required for this position. 

Mandarin or Cantonese language skills would be considered an asset.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday. The scheduled days are subject to change based on the requirements of the branch and the organization.
