Under Executive direction, the AVP, Business Development will actively grow our business by providing proactive coaching with a member centric view. The primary focus of this role is to enhance the member experience while supporting the development and implementation of proactive sales strategies, programs and tools. This position is also accountable for coaching, leading and supporting leaders in living our advice and service culture.  

The AVP, Business Development provides leadership, direction, and oversight to the Member Services and Consumer Lending teams in both the Bonnyville and Cold Lake branches. They will be responsible for the development, coaching, and mentoring of the department managers in order to achieve the strategic goals and operational objectives of the sales service and functions.

  • Execute the tactical plans to achieve and surpass growth, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives through the direction of the VP, Member Experience
  • Lead and/or participate in the development and achievement of campaign development
  • Ensure financial, operational, human and technological resources are available to execute member growth strategies
  • Review and evaluate administrative policies, procedures and practices to identify weaknesses; recommend new or revised policies, procedures and practices to improve overall performance ofmember experience
  • Ensure results are achieved within the context of strategic plan, including revenue growth and control of operating expenses within budget and applicable policies and guidelines


  • 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
  • Ability to lead and coach managers to ensure organization results and growth
  • Experience in developing and initiating new business
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
