Lafleche Credit Union Ltd. has been serving the community since 1938.  With over $73 million in assets, the Lafleche Credit Union offers its 1,890 members full financial services including a full service ATM, internet banking, loans and deposits, and financial planning services, to name a few.

Lafleche Credit Union serves the surrounding communities with branches in Lafleche and Glentworth. The Lafleche Credit Union is accountable to its members through a local board of directors who establish policies and report on results. 

Investments of the members stay in the community and are available for loans to other community members. Interest paid on the loans also stays in the community, which helps to achieve greater prosperity for everyone. With the retirement of the current General Manager approaching, the board of directors is recruiting a new General Manager to lead the Lafleche Credit Union into the future.

As General Manager, you report to the member-elected seven person board of directors, as the key spokesperson and advocate.  You play an important external role, building relationships with members, provincial and national credit union system partners, community groups, regulators and the public. You will ensure the organization operates in a financially sound and sustainable manner while continually enhancing member value and organizational performance.  You ensure good governance of the members’ resources and compliance with Saskatchewan Credit Union Regulations.

You bring a minimum of six years’ progressive senior management experience, preferably within a credit union or cooperative context.  Your analytical expertise, decisive leadership skills and strong understanding of the management of a financial institution are complemented by a graduate level business degree or equivalent experience. 

You understand the importance of being able to identify and articulate the larger picture while seeking opportunity to lead the Lafleche Credit Union into the future.   

You are a passionate, consensus-building executive who actively engages with the members and potential members as a relationship builder, advisor and advocate within a multi-stakeholder environment.

You bring energy, passion, vision, integrity and humility to your work and are skilled at communicating your vision and building consensus to execute on that vision. You foster a culture of member service with your unwavering commitment to excellence, your passion to empower staff and your ability to inspire excellence in others. 

You will inspire action across the Lafleche Credit Union’s team and champion initiatives to achieve goals laid out in its strategic plan.  A confident leader, you are not afraid to make a decision and stand behind it.
