Two Positions: Rosetown Branch and Outlook Branch

Term Full-Time (for approximately one year)


Prairie Centre Credit Union, Saskatchewan’s largest rural-based credit union, is seeking proactive, highly motivated individuals to fill two term full-time positions of Financial Specialist.  One position will be based out of Outlook and the other will be based out of Rosetown, and will also support multiple PCCU branches as required.  The Financial Specialist position reports directly to the Manager Advisory Services.


Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to develop member relationships by promoting financial planning and deposit and investment products and services tailored to meet member needs.  You will refer insurance and brokerage services based on member needs and provide member access at a time and place most convenient for our membership.  You will educate members by leading workshops/seminars.


Key Competencies:

You will have intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.  The successful individual will be a clear and concise communicator with good listening and questioning skills.  You will have a good understanding and knowledge of the financial markets and financial products with the ability to communicate the benefits of these products.  A strong understanding of tax laws, money markets, and the economy in general are essential.  You will have strong analytical skills and numeric reasonability and demonstrate integrity, confidentiality and initiative.  You must be prepared to embrace Prairie Centre’s sales culture.



  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) Designation, or willingness to achieve

  • Mutual Funds license including Labour Sponsored Funds

  • Three to five years’ experience within the financial services industry with a demonstrated ability to gather assets

  • Proven sales and presentation skills   

Flexible and/or extended work hours may be required.  Travel is required.
