North Peace Savings and Credit Union is recruiting for the role of Chief Credit Officer!

Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Chief Credit Officer (CCO) provides overall management and leadership of North Peace Saving’s credit portfolio; implementing systems, prudent lending policies and procedures aligned with regulatory and legislative requirements to maintain credit quality, maximize profit and minimize loss. The CCO works closely with the business and personal credit leaders and teams to identify opportunities, create and execute programs that strengthen relationships with members and develop business in alignment with strategic and operational priorities. Additionally, the CCO is responsible for the oversight of collections, minimizing potential losses through early identification and reporting of deteriorating or deficient situations, ensuring appropriate delinquency and collection action, including legal action, is taken as appropriate to protect Credit Union assets.

As a member of the Executive, the CCO works collaboratively with the executive team, bringing a strategic, innovative and creative approach to achieving organizational performance objectives and growth. Working with other executive and managers, the CCO continuously monitors and manages annual budgets including balance sheet growth, non-financial income, and expense management.

The successful candidate will be a financial services professional who is highly motivated, creative, innovative and have proven abilities in coaching, leadership, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills; will have an excellent credit and risk background, strong commitment to member service, and the understanding of business strategies and the competitive environment in which North Peace Savings and Credit Union operates.
