Comtech Fire Credit Union is a full service financial institution with over $530 million in assets, serving over 20,000 members across Ontario. 

To support the continued success and growth of the Credit Union, we are looking for a Business Development Officer to join our dynamic workforce.  The candidate will focus in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with potential and existing association, business and individual members.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Network and build relationship with Fire Fighter Associations, union locals, other business accounts, and their members and staff to promote new membership as well as deepening existing member relationships, through various events/activities, such as:   

- Initiation of sales calls and follow up on leads

- Visiting fire halls, attending recruit classes, retirement seminars and other related events

- Developing, coordinating and delivering presentations to promote the Credit Union as a preferred financial institution

- Retaining and servicing existing members by consistently promoting Credit Union products and services related to their financial goals

· Collaborate with the marketing department in the design and implementation of marketing initiatives, campaigns and promotions

· Recommend marketing initiatives/materials to increase membership

· Provide marketing and communications administrative support as required

· Support other business functions/departments as needed which may include cross-promoting services

· Participate in promoting the Credit Union on social media platforms

Experience and Qualifications:

· Community College Diploma or a bachelor’s degree in Marketing;

· 2-3 years customer service and/or sales/marketing experience;

· Effective presentation and interpersonal skills;

· Completion of a lending course is a definite asset;

· Experience in event planning and/or working in a financial services organization will be considered as assets

Position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
