Credit unions are about community enrichment, profit sharing, and people before profits!  Lakeland Credit Union (“LCU”) is proud to be one of the largest credit unions in Alberta and has deep roots in both our Bonnyville and Cold Lake communities.  We have a rich legacy of profit sharing and investing in our local communities and businesses.  In 2017 alone, we returned $2.5 million to our members in patronage and dividends on top of over $95 thousand reinvested in donations and sponsorships, $30 thousand in service charge rebates for non-profit organizations, $10 thousand dollars in scholarships, 38 financial literacy sessions and over 4,200 staff volunteer hours!

About the Position

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager of Brand Experience is a forward-thinking, creative and results oriented leader that delivers value at the intersection of innovation, marketing, and strategy.  This position leads an award winning team including the Community Enrichment Coordinator, Brand Design Coordinator, and Brand Communication Coordinator as well as collaborating and leading large scale organizational initiatives with cross-functional leaders and Executives. 

At LCU, we believe that Brand Experience embodies the collective sentiment of every member experience.  It marries brand image and identity with experience to transcend traditional marketing and evoke a 3rd dimension of brand expression. 

A typical day in the life of LCU’s Manager, Brand Experience

  • Foster an environment focused on performance excellence, innovation, efficiency and trusted advice that delivers value to our people, our members and our communities

  • Develop and collaborate on creative concepts, campaigns and tactics, leading them through to flawless execution

  • Lead strategies and oversee tactics surrounding financial literacy, center of influence events, donations and sponsorships, search engine optimization, web, creative design, content marketing, promotional materials and advertising

  • Actively engage in and collaborate in functional leadership

  • Champion LCU’s Omnichannel guiding principle > ensuring alignment with complete, consistent, seamless and personalized experience for our members in every organizational project, initiative and deliverable in every single channel

About You
You’re an inspirational leader looking to enrich people’s lives and your community.  You’re excited to collaborate with those around you to strategize, deliver creative content, products, and services that promote the #LCUExperience and completely transform banking as we know it! 

You should have:  

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Commerce, Design, Communication etc.)

  • Experience in coaching  creative teams, innovation and organizational strategy to deliver results and add extraordinary value

  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills with the ability to not only connect the dots but also translate them and relate well with employees, leaders and members in any channel they choose

  • A high-performing work ethic, ability to adapt quickly and focus on results while being a team player

  • Confidence and flexibility to challenge the status quo, elevate processes and embody the #LCUExperience, in every interaction with our people, our members and our communities

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning & development for self and others
