THE POSITION: As part of a high-performance work team, this position is responsible to effectively collaborate by jointly managing the responsibilities through timely & consistent two-way respectful communication with a team of Ag & Commercial Business Advisors to deliver high caliber advice and member experience. They will work within their teams to proactively develop strategies and target service offerings to increase sales. Associate Business Advisors will be knowledgeable on Policy, Practice and Procedures to effectively ensure loan quality that will result in high scoring Quality Assurance. How does one do this? An Associate Business Advisor does the following:
- Assists with ECI input & analysis
- Assists with completion of Loan documentation
- Ensures all loan activities are in compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Recognizes and acts upon business development opportunities that would be beneficial to the organization and its members as a whole
- Participates in the development and support achievement of sales targets, marketing plans, and member service standards
- May act as resource for appointments with members on initial loan requests or finalizing signatures on documents

- You have minimum one year of formal post-secondary education or equivalent; plus 1 to 3 years of job related experience (i.e., opening business accounts, consumer lending, quality assurance) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- You have proven sales and service skills and are committed to growing Innovation Credit Union business attained through demonstrated use of sales and service principles
- You have strong communication skills with the ability to relate well to members and co-workers
- You have working knowledge of various software packages, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office, ECI, ProLender, FCT, iClic
- It would be considered an asset if you’ve completed courses related to Consumer Lending, Residential Mortgage, Commercial and Agricultural Lending
