This is a support to management role responsible for helping to attract, develop and retain employees through planning, developing, designing and helping to implement HR programs and activities. 

 

The focus of this position is working with others, building and maintaining relationships, and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. There is a need for an effective communicator, someone who is able to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns.  A persuasive, teaching style of communication is required to communicate the company’s policies, programs, and systems. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently. As time is usually a factor, the work must be done on time, as well as correctly. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed fairly closely, while working with and for others.

 

Qualifications:  The successful candidate will have Grade 12 with five or more years related job experience or equivalent education with a Human Resource background. The candidate must have excellent communication skills and work effectively within the team. Must demonstrate a willingness to actively promote the Credit Union and become involved in the community.

CPHR designation preferable but not a requirement.  Commitment to continuous learning and self-development is required.

System and Data Analyst

The Person: You are a computing crusader, fascinated by gizmos, programs and gigabytes, and undaunted by statistics, analytics, and queries.  Technical manuals are like the Lost Journal of Indiana Jones – the clues to solving a mystery.  A neatly coiled CAT6 cable and Torx screwdriver hang from your belt.  Even blindfolded, you know your ports from peripherals.  Your sleuthing skills include asking detailed questions and unearthing answers in the digital data.  Fluent in the language of technology; you patiently translate tekkie-speak to everyday language so other employees  can keep up in the adventure.

 

The Position: This specialized position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time.  A somewhat faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position.  Changes in the nature of the work is the norm.  An appetite for learning is key to success in this position.  The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.  The position supports internal technology users across the organization, requiring patience, connection and a light-hearted approach.

 

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Experience, the System and Data Analyst:

  • Provides day-to-day technology support for all aspects of computer and technology devices.
  • Manages the IT systems within the credit union. In-depth knowledge needed on the various systems in place and how they connect to each other.
  • Provides support on special projects and implementation of new systems.
  • Leads the ongoing enhancements, administration, and special projects for existing programs such as Banking System (DNA), Customer Relationship Management (Doxim CRM) , Content Service Platform (OnBase) and the migration of systems to Cloud based platforms.
  • Supports new developments and ongoing management of existing analytics programs and ensures that the information is correct and useful for users. A high degree of data analytics fluency is required for the success of this position.

The Position:  The Investment Specialist must be friendly and genuinely interested in discovering member’s current, on-going and future needs, and finding the best solutions.  Lots of attention is spent on building and maintaining relationships seeking to help and not pressure members thereby fostering the relationship.  Detailed work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently.  Adherence to established guidelines and procedures is important, while working with and for others.  This is a permanent full time (37.5 hours per week) position.

As a member of the Investment team, the Investment Specialist:

  • Requires a high degree of specialized knowledge to analyze member needs, assist members by outlining benefits and alternatives, and advise members on the best investment options and ongoing investment services.

The Position:  The Lender  is a permanent full-time position (37.5 hours per week)

 

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Working knowledge and thorough understanding of the legal and legislative requirements related to lending is essential.  Advanced ability in interpreting complex financial statements, assessing risk, and determining product/service opportunities are strongly preferred. Previous lending experience in the oil and gas industry will be considered an asset.
