We are looking for someone who:

Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial account management, ideally in a credit union or other financial institution.
Has completed a University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Commerce or a related program, or equivalent work experience.
Has a proven track record in commercial sales and business development with a diversified portfolio; exposure to syndication deals is considered an asset.
Is an expert at financial analysis, assessing risk and credit structuring as well as presentation of deals – preference will be given to those with a financial designation such as CFA / CPA.
Can demonstrate their new member acquisition skills, is at ease when presenting the Credit Union’s value proposition, likes actively pursuing lead generation, and enjoys initial contact with members, cold calling and asking for referrals.
Has proven through their previous commercial experience that they have exceptional relationship management skills.
Is comfortable working full-time hours and with deadline and time constraints with an understanding that hours of work may extend beyond the normal work week.
Is motivated by a variable pay / commission-style bonus structure and is comfortable with travel in and around the local area.

The Commercial Relationship Manager is responsible for managing existing commercial accounts and business development and works closely with the entire Spruce Team to seek out mutually beneficial solutions for members and the credit union.

Role Specific Responsibilities

Manages portfolio up to $25M of commercial enterprise accounts involving the annual review of the risk and profitability; monitors problem accounts and develops plans to minimize risk.

Receives and analyzes financial statements; calculates debt servicing capacity; negotiates terms and conditions of loan.
Identifies and pursues opportunities to promote other business services; reviews current portfolio to ensure clients have proper banking products.
Grants commercial loans, mortgages and operating lines of credit for business purposes within lending limits; submits recommendations for credit to appropriate approval level.
Provides direction and coaching to assigned commercial staff including lending, analytical or administrative staff.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education: Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline is considered an asset.

Experience: Running a business, exposure to or experience in commercial lending are all considered assets.

Account Manager III – Retail

We are seeking an experienced consumer account manager to join our North Vernon Branch team. This role will manage, oversee and grow an existing complex lending and investment portfolio of consumer and residential mortgages and non mutual funds investments.

Our Account Managers are available to our members through video communication, phone calls, email, in-person meetings and other forms of electronic communication.

Education and qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s Degree or a diploma requiring 3-4 years of full-time study or equivalent. Preferred courses include professional accounting, finance and/or administration designations. Applicants must have successfully completed CUIC 210 residential Loan and Mortgage Lending and have 1-3 years’ experience in a senior retail lending environment. Strong oral and written communication skills, a high aptitude for accuracy, and ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment are also required in this position.

Starting monthly salary – $4,714.49
