Who are we?
Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (the Corporation) is the deposit guarantor for Saskatchewan credit unions and the primary regulator for Saskatchewan credit unions and SaskCentral, together, Provincially Regulated Financial Institutions (PRFIs). We work closely with these institutions to ensure they employ sound business practices to enhance the strength and stability of the Saskatchewan credit union system.
We are seeking a confident, highly motivated professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our Risk-Based Supervision team. Our employees benefit from gaining experience and exposure to a variety of aspects within the financial services industry.
What you’ll do:
As a Senior Analyst, you will join a team of professionals that collaborate with internal and external system partners in support of the Corporation’s mandate to instill confidence in the Saskatchewan credit union system. Key accountabilities to the position include:
• monitoring the performance of PRFIs to proactively identify risk and communicate actions required to mitigate risk to depositor funds and the guarantee fund
• building, managing and maintaining effective strategic relationships with the board of directors and senior management teams within a portfolio of PRFIs
• utilizing your knowledge in the areas of corporate governance, finance, and risk management to support monitoring and understanding of the financial services environment
• assessing regulatory approval requests from PRFIs to ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements
• supporting the maintenance of the regulatory framework through research and development
Flexible hours and some travel are required as this business unit works with PRFIs throughout Saskatchewan.
What you’ll need:
• undergraduate degree in business administration or commerce; a professional designation would be considered an asset (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
• three to five years’ experience in the financial services industry, regulatory, and/or audit environment
• knowledge and experience with areas such as: corporate governance, strategic and risk management, credit, audit and financial management practices
• the ability to interpret and apply policy, legislation, and regulation
• demonstrated ability to effectively present regulatory findings and facilitate discussions with key stakeholders such as senior management and board members

What we offer:
The salary range for this position is $84,800 to $106,000.
