Reporting to the VP, Int Marketing/Data Analytics, the UI/UX Designer is a user experience evangelist and creative problem solver. This individual has a functional understanding of coding and transferring the brand’s strengths and personality seamlessly throughout the interface of a product. The UI/UX Designer brings a wealth of knowledge to our collaborative multi-disciplinary marketing team and provides expertise in mobile and responsive design, visual design programs (such as Adobe Photoshop), and animation and video content for a variety of mediums.

A UI/UX Designer does the following:

  • Define and deliver design components and deliverables including wireframes, mock-ups, user workflows, and interaction rules by working collaboratively with key team members within an agile and iterative design and development environment where timely delivery of design deliverables is critical
  • Develop and manage the member experience design process to deliver creative digital concepts and solutions for our web and mobile properties and incorporate animation as a functional element that enhances the user experience
  • Participate and solution in design workshops, persona development and client journey mapping sessions as well as develop user-centered storyboards, sketches/wireframes, and prototypes
  • Support the creation and maintenance of UI design and graphic standards documentation to help enforce Innovation’s brand coherence, accessibility standards and cross-site consistency
  • Source and treat brand-compliant images and ensure that we meet all brand standards
  • Plan and execute usability testing and stakeholder interviews to solicit feedback from external users and internal teams with the intention of incorporating the feedback into concept and/or application development
  • Drive digital transformations to simplify the experience for our members.

  • Maintain legacy servers, services, networking, backup and end point protection systems
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the information technology cybersecurity, disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Provide Tier 3 support effectively serving our internal members

To be considered for our Cloud Engineer position, you must have:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Information Systems

The Mandate of the Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation (CUDGC) is to provide risk-based regulatory oversight and deposit guarantees to enable a safe and sound credit union system in Newfoundland & Labrador.

The primary role is to:
• Provide a guarantee of deposits held with NL credit unions
• Regulate NL credit unions and enforce the Credit Union Act, 2009
• Review, advise and direct credit unions on matters related to legislative compliance and sound business practices

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced individual who can bring new knowledge and skills to the Examination Team and take the lead role in assessing, planning and executing the assessment of credit unions in the areas of Information Technology and Cybersecurity which manage/mitigate the risk to depositor funds and the deposit guarantee funds.
The Director, Information Technology Examinations is a key member of the senior management team and operates with a high degree of autonomy reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The position develops the risk based Examination plan and the identifies emerging IT security risks to ensure that risk-based supervision activities are applied according to the Corporation’s values and operating principles. In addition, the position is responsible for legislation and regulations interpretations and the effective strategic management of relationships with credit union CEOs and senior management.

Primary Responsibilities
• Leads the design and execution of the risk-based monitoring program that serves in the protection of deposits and recognition of emerging risks
• Creates positive change in IT and risk management practices by facilitating the understanding of review results, making recommendations for improvement and gaining the commitment of the credit union’s board of directors and senior management to evolve their practices
• Manage strategic relationships with credit unions to align with corporate values of co-operation and collaboration
• Identify and advise management on the use of data analytics and other advanced techniques and tools in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness of examination assessments
• Maintains information security competency through ongoing professional development and staying abreast of emerging technologies, risks and controls in information and cyber security

Experience and Qualifications
• 7 years of information and cyber security experience
• 5+ years’ experience as an IT Auditor and strong understanding of IT audit methodologies.
• Minimum post-secondary degree or diploma in computer science, information systems, business or a related field
• CISA, CISSP or equivalent is preferred
• Experience in the assessment of threats and risks over IT processes and assets.
• Experience and knowledge working with security frameworks, including NIST and CIS.
• Experience working in a highly computerized environment and demonstrates an understanding of information technology functionality, architecture, structure and controls.
• Experience working with Technology platforms and must be familiar with performing audits of network, operating systems, applications, databases and other technical areas such as 3rd Party Management
• Knowledgeable in areas such as network security architecture, vulnerability assessments, Data Loss Prevention and web application security
• General understanding of the Canadian financial services regulatory environment would be considered an asset
• Advanced team leadership, relationship management and change management skills
• Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people

Job Profile:

Working directly with the Chief Financial and Risk Officer, the Technology Support position will be primarily focused on providing support and service to all internal staff members at Radius, ensuring the effective and efficient co-ordination of technology requirements. Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience with technology systems, networks, infrastructure, operations, and experience managing projects or a combination of experience and education.
  • Expertise in the use of IT concepts and security best practices to ensure a secure and efficient environment
  • Highly motivated with strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while continuing to stay on task and complete projects within required timelines.

Manager, Regulatory Practices

The Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation is a not-for-profit public agency of the Government of Alberta that guarantees deposits and provides risk-based regulatory oversight to enable a safe and sound credit union system in Alberta.  Our primary roles include:

  • Providing a 100% guarantee of deposits held with Alberta credit unions
  • Regulating credit unions and enforcing the Credit Union Act

The Manager, Regulatory Practices, reports to the Assistant Vice President, Planning, Analytics & Regulatory Practices and is responsible for scanning the financial sector environment towards the identification, development, and communication of financial sector regulatory practices and prevention initiatives. THE POSITION

  • Lead and coordinate the development, maintenance and communication of the Corporation’s communications to credit unions including the standards of sound business and financial practices, the issuance of guidance, guidelines, model policies, discussion papers etc.
  • Monitor the regulatory environment including legislation, regulations, guidelines, directives, etc. from other jurisdictions (provincial, national, global) to identify opportunities and make recommendations to enhance or use to leverage our programs.
  • Develop, update, and maintain the Corporation’s regulatory framework (including processes, risk assessment and rating guidelines, models, and tools such as the Risk Matrix and business intelligence applications) to be used by employees in their role of monitoring credit unions.
  • Update existing and develop new conceptual models and tools, including roll-out, user training and documentation, to be used by the regulation & risk assessment team to monitor credit union risks.
  • Maintain documentation of internal processes for regulation and risk assessment for off-site monitoring and on-site verification of the credit unions.
  • Standardize consistency and professionalism of communication to the credit union system.
  • Minimal travel 4-5 times per year may be required.

THE PERSON

  • 3 years of job related experience in a financial services, public policy, or regulatory environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Financial institution experience in one or more of the following areas is required – Credit Portfolio Risk, IT/Cyber Risk Governance frameworks and risk modelling. In addition, experience working on market risk including asset liability management, operational risk, treasury management and financial institution strategy & risk are assets.
  • Knowledge of and ability to research and interpret policy, legislation, and regulation is an asset.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and 4+ years financial sector experience. Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), designation(s) is an asset.
  • Strong communication (e.g. verbal, active listening, technical writing), presentation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are required.
  • Advanced technical writing including policy development is required.
  • Ability to develop complex financial models is an asset

 Your Work at a Glance

Our Security Analyst will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and improvement of the overall security posture of the technology infrastructure within Tandia.

You will also be responsible for measuring and managing security risks and controls and enhancing the integrity of systems and processes throughout Tandia, with the goal of protecting our organization from potential security threats.  As the Security Analyst, you will be the single point of contact for any security related incidents and questions or concerns about dynamic threats within the organization. You will apply your knowledge when providing day to day guidance and recommendations on the management of cyber security specific risks and will approach projects strategically.  You will be proactive in creating, updating and maintaining IT related policies in coordination with audit and risk management procedures and you will serve as the primary correspondent to facilitate IT related audits.

We are looking for someone who:

  •  Has completed a degree or diploma in Computer Security or related Computer Systems or Data Security focused program
  • Possesses a minimum of 4 to 6 years of IT industry experience
  • Has a minimum of 1 year experience in the specialization of IT Security
  • Has ideally completed one or more Information Security certification(s) such as CISSP, CEH, GSEC, NCSF, Comp TIA Security+
  • Has in-depth knowledge of Windows Server, Desktop and Network Environment
  • Is highly skilled in the use of network security protocols and technology solutions such as next generation firewall (NGFW) applications, routing protocols and access control lists (ACL)
  • Has a solid understanding of common frameworks or standards such as CIS Top 20, NIST and ISO 27001
  • Is skilled at vulnerability management and has hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools – ideally Tenable and/or Tenable Security Center
  • Is skilled with log management and ideally has used SIEM solutions for log management and has familiarity with Sumo Logic or Splunk; in addition, can produce reports and metrics from these tools
  • Is committed to continuous learning and regular use of open-source intelligence to stay current with industry security trends
  • Has a self-starting attitude and a highly analytical approach to delivering the highest level of security
  • Has the ability to take initiative, recommend changes, streamline operations and create efficiencies
  • Has experience creating, updating and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Has knowledge of Credit Union applications – which is considered an asset; as well – those candidates with experience in the financial industry will be given preference
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and translate highly technical information and ‘jargon’ in ways non-IT professionals understand
  • Prides themselves on their ability to problem solve, manage and mitigate risk and analyze data
  • Is able to work after hours as required given the nature of the position; emergency response and on-call duties after regular business hours are expected in this role
