What are we looking for?

  • A secondary school diploma with an academic emphasis plus 1 year post-secondary education with up to 1 year of work experience in a sales and service environment;
  • A minimum of 5 years of financial experience and 2 years of lending experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Preferably, a thorough understanding of credit union operations, principles and values.

  • Proven sales experience and demonstrated leadership experience;

The Role: Financial Services Relationship Manager, Regina

Are you….

  • Able to take a holistic approach with each member interaction in order to provide the right solutions which involves identifying referral opportunities to other lines of business including wealth management and business services?
  • Entrepreneurial in your approach to building business, with a proven track record in sales and business development?

Loans Manager / Loans Officer

Luseland Credit Union is seeking a motivated leader to join our lending team either as a Loans Manager or Loans Officer (position based on qualifications).

THE POSITION – Loans Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, the Loans Manager will:

  • Collaborate in the development of corporate strategies, policies and risk management plans;
  • Manage, monitor and grow the credit union’s loan portfolio, proactively working to retain and expand member relationships;
  • Ensure that all lending activities are in compliance with relevant legislation and regulations;
  • Provide coaching, inspiration and leadership to a high performance team delivering quality member service and duty of care;
  • Provide lending services to current and potential members including recognizing their needs in order to promote and cross-sell LCU products;
  • Promote Luseland Credit Union and maintain active involvement in the community

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires:

  • 5+ years of lending experience within the industry
  • Background in Finance (B. Comm or equivalent is preferred)
  • Knowledge and experience in resolving complex lending issues related to serving agricultural and/or commercial members
  • Experience working with banking applications
  • Management experience would be considered an asset
  • The incumbent will also have a thorough understanding of the credit union system including operations, principles and values
  • Flexibility within requirements may be provided to the right candidate

THE POSITION – Loans Officer

Reporting to the General Manager, the Loans Officer will:

  • Provide lending services to current members and potential members and administer and control an assigned portion of the loans portfolio;
  • Recognize member needs and promote and cross-sell credit union lending and deposit services; and
  • Ensure all loan activities comply with relevant legislation, regulations, policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires:

  • Attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • Working knowledge of credit union products and services;
  • Desire and ability to be a team leader
  • One-year of post-secondary training plus four to five years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; or two to four years of relevant post-secondary training.

COMPENSATION

Salary will be negotiated based on education and experience. Luseland Credit Union offers a fully paid benefits package, including 7.5% pension matching, variable pay structure, and an employee loan/deposit program.

Financial Services Officer/Representative (Member Services and/or Lending Departments) Open to Full Time or Part-Time

The role supports the corporate vision of sales & service excellence by providing a high level of member service, administrative data entry, balancing of accounting support tasks. Fosters business development through service excellence and product knowledge; act as point of first contact for members.

Member Service Representative

Sells and processes member banking needs (deposits and withdrawals, front line transactions); open/close personal accounts. Recognizes member needs and promote lending & deposit services and refer more complex requests to respective staff professionals.

Sells and prepares documentation for Registered products, Term Deposits and other investment products not requiring a mutual funds license.

Daily balancing of transactions- outgoing cheques, transactions, and cash.

Lending Administration (Optional) 

Complete and process required documentation for credit related products- consumer loans, lines of credit, and residential mortgages.

Provide support to lending function by: disbursing loan proceeds, posting loan-related transactions, auditing loan input & documents, making member appointments, administering the overdraft reports, extracting and providing loan-related information to members, processing and recording loan payments and changes to member files, calculating and preparing mortgage and personal loan pay-outs,

Assist with the Loans Department with lending and wealth functions by preparing letters, other documentation and making follow up calls on behalf of lenders and the Manager, Lending & Wealth.

Liaise with title insurance company; complete monthly reconciliation and remittance of creditor insurance; liaise with notaries and solicitors regarding mortgage funding and discharges.

Provide credit information about members to authorized organizations; obtain credit information on applicants through credit bureau searches.

Search liens; lodge, renew and discharge registrations of collateral; complete property tax searches.

Senior Agricultural/Commercial Lender (BRA III)

Diamond North Credit Union is currently recruiting for a Senior Agricultural/Commercial Lender for the position of Business Relationship Advisor III.

The Business Relationship Advisor III is accountable for the growth, development, and oversight of the lending and financial needs of a number of relationship managed members. This portfolio consists primarily of a variety of agriculture and commercial members whose needs are complex and require innovative and creative solutions to support their operations. Lending Services Officer

LENDING SERVICES OFFICER

NORTH VALLEY CREDIT UNION

THE POSITION:

Due to a recent opening in our lending department, North Valley Credit Union is seeking the services of a qualified Loans Officer. The successful candidate will report directly to the Loans Manager.  Responsibilities will include duties typically associated with the lending function such as interviewing members, monitoring portfolio performance and focusing on growth opportunities. Those applying for this position must be fully competent in consumer and residential mortgage lending and in commercial underwriting and analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum grade 12 diploma supplemented by direct lending training and experience

· A record of completing both formal and informal training and self-development courses

· Strong business development and relationship management skills

· Proven ability in portfolio management

· Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

· Competence in both consumer and residential mortgage lending

· Must be skilled at commercial loan underwriting and analyzation

· A working knowledge of syndicated loans will be an asset

The level of compensation provided will depend upon qualifications and experience. THE CREDIT UNION:

North Valley Credit Union is a single branch operation located in the Town of Esterhazy. Total assets under administration are approaching $ 115 million. NVCU has the highest risk-weighted capital ratio of any credit union in the province combined with some of the lowest delinquency ratios. The staff complement is 11 FTE.

THE COMMUNITY:

Esterhazy is located north of the Qu’Appelle valley, 73 km from the Manitoba border and 90 km southeast of Yorkton. It has a population of approximately 2,800 and is a full service community. Located within our community is a hospital, medical clinic, dentist, part-time Chiropractor and Optometrist, an RCMP detachment and K-12 schools plus a daycare centre. Other amenities include a 9-hole grass green golf course, curling and skating rinks, three gymnasiums including an Anytime Fitness facility, outdoor aquatic centre, children’s park, walking trails, museum, library, Potash Interpretive Centre and bowling alley.  It also has a strong retail sector consisting of three pharmacies, two grocery stores, three convenience stores, a hardware store, bargain shop and several restaurants. The potash mines in the immediate area are expanding and this increased economic activity bodes well for the future of this geographic region.
