We’re hiring a Marketing Coordinator!

We’re looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join the team for an up to nine-month temporary assignment with the potential of joining the team permanently. The successful candidate will be someone who has a strong desire to learn, is detail orientated, incredibly organized, a strong communicator, solutions focused, and service orientated. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate with interest in developing their skills and gaining experience in marketing.

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating our involvement in community events, producing marketing materials, maintaining our website, managing content within social media presence, and general administrative and marketing duties as assigned.

Key responsibilities

Communications Liasing with external suppliers, vendors, and printers.
Support Supporting divisions and branches with marketing and communication needs.
Creative Graphic design and copy writing support to the marketing and communications team.
Community Managing community investment program activities.
Inventory Managing the promotional item inventory.

Skills and attributes

Strong communication skills Strength in overall verbal and written communication.
Organization Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Interpersonal  Exceptional interpersonal skills with the team and accross the organization.
Adaptability Learning and working within various systems and technologies.
Marketing programs Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suit (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), online content management systems, and social media management systems would be an asset.

Experience and education

  • Post-secondary education specializing in Marketing, Communications, Commerce and/or Business Management
  • Previous experience or exposure to the credit union system would be an asset

THE POSITION:  The role of Growth Marketer is an exciting opportunity to help define acquisition, cross sell and engagement strategies that will accelerate growth and support in deepening our relationships with our members. We currently have an opportunity to hire an experienced marketing professional to join our team as the Senior Manager Marketing & Brand Experience.  The incumbent of this role is based out of our Corporate Office in Trail.

As the Senior Manager Marketing & Brand Experience, you will lead the strategic and day to day direction of the marketing department and brand strategy.  You will coach and lead the marketing team to grow the brand, digitize and integrate new tools, technologies and channels to increase share of wallet and membership.  You will also be responsible for providing oversight on product, digital and channel design, marketing and promotions, analytics and research, communications, brand image, and community investment and engagement.

The ideal incumbent will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field requiring 3 to 4 years full-time study or equivalent
  • Minimum of 8 years’ progressive leadership experience in a sales and service environment with a focus on marketing and brand development
  • Advanced skills in digital marketing
  • Advanced skills in brand development, strategy, marketing communications and oversight
  • Advanced knowledge and proven experience in best practices and innovative industry developments in branding, the marketing discipline, sales and marketing communications
  • Advanced knowledge in a broad range of market research, analytics, segmentation, product development and marketing strategy development
  • Advanced knowledge in all banking channels including digital and mobile
  • Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, SQL, Microsoft Office applications, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite apps, WordPress

Digital Marketing & Content Specialist

We’re currently seeking an experienced Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to join our Marketing department team.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Marketing & Brand Experience, you are responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and tracking communications and promotions across a variety of digital channels to uphold a strong digital presence and growth of the brand.

You will work with stakeholders to design, create, and deliver marketing programs to support the growth of Kootenay Savings services and products and will also provide strategic analysis and insight on overall content management.

This position is based out of our Corporate Office in Trail, BC, however remote work options may be considered.

The ideal incumbent will possess:

  • Marketing or Media Certificate, diploma or degree in digital media, communications, marketing or other related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of job-related experience in the digital media and/or marketing field that includes:
    • Creating digital content for a variety of digital solutions
    • Successfully applying digital sales techniques
    • Using content management systems and applications
    • Monitoring and analyzing traffic to digital applications
    • Advertising and marketing via the following channels:
      • Websites
      • Search Engine Marketing (includes SEO and PPC advertising)
      • Social Media Platforms
      • Targeted Email
      • Affiliate Marketing
      • Video
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communications to fit the audience and ensure understanding
  • Solid understanding of web metrics, and digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data
  • Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, SQL, Microsoft Office applications, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite apps, WordPress
