We are seeking a Full Time Commercial Account Manager III – Syndication in our Kelowna area. The Commercial Account Manager III – Syndication, supports Interior Savings’ vision of sales & service excellence by developing valuable long-term relationships with Syndication Partners, pro-actively determining and fulfilling their commercial credit needs. The Commercial Account Manager III will assist other Commercial Account Managers find non lead syndication partners when necessary.

Through proven sales and service ability combined with your ability to meet and exceed assigned goals and objectives you will develop the commercial portfolio by pro-actively managing assigned accounts. You will also actively pursue internal referral opportunities and external business opportunities. Utilizing your attention to detail and accuracy you will recognize member needs and promote lending products & deposit services and refer more complex requests to respective Credit Union professionals.  Additionally, you will develop a syndicated loan origination strategy and will coordinate credit union system partner relationship coverage to maintain an ongoing flow of incoming syndicated loan opportunities.

With strong judgement and problem-solving skills, you will foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge and recommend and present loans within the lending limits of the credit union to businesses to finance commercial activity. Your professionalism, tact and courtesy will help you while assisting the Senior Manager Credit Risk in maintaining credit quality. You will provide guidance to account managers to ensure syndicated loan applications and annual reviews are prepared to appropriate standards. The Commercial Account Manager III – Syndication would work with collection solicitors to the advantage of the Credit Union in asset realization or legal situations.  

Through personal strengths in communication, leadership, and initiative you will mentor Account Managers with syndication files (both lead and non-lead) by identifying skill gaps and provide mentoring that relates to syndications; provide subject matter expertise to administrative staff; developing performance standards with input from the Regional Manager(s), Commercial Services; creating opportunities for employee growth and satisfaction. You will also perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a diploma requiring 3-4 years of full-time study or equivalent.

  • 7-10 years of job-related experience in the commercial lending field.

We are seeking a Full Time Senior Manager, Commercial Credit Risk. With exceptional attention to detail the Senior Manager, Commercial Credit Risk is accountable for adjudicating commercial, small business and agricultural credit applications generated by the Commercial/Small Business Centers.  This position is responsible for ensuring that the approved applications meet acceptable risk requirements in accordance with prudent lending practices, corporate lending policy, as well as regulatory and legislative requirements.

This position ensures, within established lending limits, the review, recommendation and approval of commercial, small business and agricultural credit applications that exceed the limits of the Commercial Managers and Commercial Account Managers.  Presentation and support of recommended applications to the Management Credit Committee through established approval processes is a key activity of this position. In addition, this position will develop and implement an effective 2nd level of defense framework of ongoing commercial credit reviews.

As part of the risk management team, the Senior Manager, Commercial Credit Risk actively pursues the assessment of loan portfolio risks and trends and maintenance of credit quality through recommendation of Branch / Regional Office / Staff commercial lending limits, monitoring of portfolio performance, identification of emerging industry, macro-economic and political risks, and training and guidance of commercial lenders. This role is responsible for formulating and recommending policies and procedures for commercial lending, implementing approved policies and procedures, and establishing a compliance and related data quality monitoring and reporting regime. This includes recommending revision of relevant areas of the corporate Investment & Lending Policy and Guidelines in alignment with the Credit Union’s strategic plan and the Board established risk appetite.

This position involves frequent contact with senior management, commercial / small business banking personnel, account managers as well as Accounting, Audit and Treasury departments in a variety of capacities including developing new, more efficient, and pro-active methods to track portfolio quality and trends and test to pre-determined performance benchmarks.

The Senior Manager, Commercial Credit Risk is responsible for providing support, guidance, and direction on matters regarding the administration of higher risk, delinquent and non-performing commercial loans to minimize risk of loss. This role is also responsible for developing reports and metrics on the commercial loan portfolio, including composition, quality, and performance, and collaborating with Finance on the ongoing development, analysis, and calibration of the commercial loan portion of the loan loss model.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, or a related field
  • Either a CGA, CA, CMA designation preferred 

Experience/Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial risk underwriting with a financial institution, in addition to 7-9 years of field experience in commercial lending

We are seeking a Full Time Senior Treasury Analyst in Kelowna British Columbia.

The Senior Treasury Analyst supports Interior Savings’ vision of service leadership by performing and overseeing a variety of treasury duties, procedures and analysis relating to the Credit Union.

You will establish and maintain monthly reconciliation processes for treasury/liquidity management and foreign exchange management while providing analysis and support in the development of new deposit or lending products by advising on structuring and rates.

You will assist in the development and annual maintenance of treasury related Board policies as well as assist in the development and implementation of financial and operational policies that impact treasury, ALM and interest rate management. Using your keen attention to quality and detail, you ensure compliance with relevant policies and credit arrangements including ILP, ALM policy, Liquidity plans and Central 1 facility. You will also monitor cash levels and manage liquidity investment and borrowing requirements.

With strong organizational skills, you will maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of current and projected future funding positions, assist in securitized loans funding process through collaboration with key stakeholders and maintain and complete credit facilities applications/renewals.

You will monitor, analyze and report on foreign exchange (FX) rates and currency, transact on member FX trades, provide FX rates for large dollar transactions and monitor daily FX transactions for material variance or error. You will also perform all other duties as assigned.

    • Produce BI reports and dashboards that effectively communicate business insights to aid in data-driven and actionable outcomes.
    • Utilize internal and external data sources fully to better serve our members and improve our business operations.
  • Deployment
    • Work with stakeholders to deploy reports and business intelligence solutions to promote a high adoption rate.
    • Provide initial post-deployment support for end-users.
  • Maintenance and Support
    • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of our data warehouse, BI models, and business intelligence solutions.
    • Provide technical support to other Analysts and Assistants and provide level-2 support to end users.
    • Maintain a centralized repository of reports and business insights to continually improve by eliminating wastes and fostering incremental improvements and innovation.
    • Seek opportunities to continuously improve our reporting and business intelligence capabilities

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study, or a recognized accounting or finance designation. (CPA, CFA).

Experience/Knowledge

  • 4-6 years finance or data analytics experience with 3-5 years of specific job-related experience in the financial analysis/cost accounting fields.
